Hi Everyone,
Excited about joining the forum. Have been on here quite a bit in search of my first ZHP. Have owned an '03 330 sedan and '11 335 xdrive sedan previously. Always admired the look and premise of the ZHP. Saw a listing for an '06 Monaco Blue coupe (black leather, a must for me) w/only 40K miles back in January. The car was in Tucson. I inquired, and spoke with the previous owner for about 2 hours. Really honest guy, documented every little thing that might be wrong with it. It was clear that he truly loved the car, and was only giving it up for the unselfish reason of replacing his wife's high mileage Mini given he didn't drive it frequently enough. I told him I wanted it, and used my flight purchase to Tucson to have him hold it (received 2 offers in the interim at asking price). He picked me up at the airport, and it looked as good as advertised. I drove it for the first time, and was sold officially. I elected to drive it back to Ohio (live in the Cincinnati area) and bond with the car. That was a great experience until I hit Missouri through Ohio, in February winter weather. It was dicey, but the Conti DWS helped me out. Made it home safely, and I'm looking forward to enjoying it as my daily driver for years to come. Will add some pics when I can figure out how to size them correctly into the thread format (added as attachments, but preview showed them as blown up too much).
Looking forward to learning a lot from everyone in mutual appreciation of these great cars we all love.
Michael
