The What: Completely Rebuilt 2002 BMW E46 M3 Rear End (minus driveshaft, rotors) ~144K miles on it
The Why: Marriage related, but long story short, I need to prioritize between kids and sanity OR unnecessary mods; the former definitely takes precedence over the latter
The Cost: $1000 + shipping
Real Shipping Costs? Look, I will make you a deal, if you are in a state that borders AZ, I can meet you in one of the border cities on the main highways (in and out of AZ) and all you need to do is throw me some extra bones for the gas costs.
What will you need for this swap? M3 6MT Drive Shaft, Rear Rotors and Pads (roughly an additional $400-600, see below)
What ELSE will you really need? I am still trying to track down all of the torque specs that you will need but this link will definitely help get you going. I'll pass along torque specs when I get them put together. http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=464146

The Badish(?):
One of the SPC adjustable arms is stripped. I purchased a used low mileage set from someone online and then found out that it was stripped. I still have one of the old SPC adjustable arms, so that one will be sent along with this rear end, so you can decide if you want to swap it out or not. Along with this, these bushings were not replaced because they are not OEM rear wishbone/arms.

The rear diff bushings on the diff cover were not replaced. They looked decent so I didn’t replace those. If you want to replace them, that will be up to you.
On both left and right rear half shaft/drive shaft, they both have a damn cv boot clamp that for the life of me I really really REALLY can’t get to lock down. You will need to get a new set of clamps and clamp it down. The clamps I used will be sent along with everything else.
What will you get?
You will get the entire rear end that is shown in the pictures plus the following set of extras:
Remaining CV-2 Redline Grease
Misc Grease, Threadlocker, Anti-Sieze
Spare 36MM socket. You WILL need this for the nut on the wheel hub, it is BIG!!!
All of the NEW additional nuts and bolts that are part of the rear end refresh kit that are used to bolt this to the frame/car
All of the OLD nuts and bolts that were stripped off of the rear end. This is “just in case” something went missing and I missed it somewhere.
New Wheel hub nuts
Two brand new e-brake cables. I really couldn’t figure out how to take the dang cable off so I just left it on the E-brake setup, since really? How much wear could these REALLY get.
Two brand new e-brake sleaves. I really don’t even know where these go
Wheel Hubs, these are the same unit that was pulled off the old diff. If you want new, they are about $100/piece on ECS.
12 E-12 half shaft to diff bolts, shown in ziploc bag in picture below
Note: The Redline 75-140 won’t be included since I will have already replaced the diff fluid as of Wed, 5/20.

New ebrake cables and sleeves. Also the rotor hex screws to hold the rotor on the hub. This box also has the new bolts and nuts in it from the rear end refresh kit.

What will I need to make this work?
E46 M3 Drive shaft - This can be sourced from BMRParts.com and runs about $300 shipped. At least that is what they quoted me
E46 M3 Rear rotors and pads - This is an individual preference and there are a lot of choices out there for you to choose from. Could be sourced here on ZHPMafia or elsewhere from $200-300
