Hi,

Trying to find pics of these setups on ZHP verts only. Tried searching but could not find any. If you have some pics I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

You might also try asking the vert section of e46fanatics.com

Now that OP has ordered, I'd like to see more pics of this.

I had Eibachs on my other car and hated the rake and rear height.

I have the same setup as him; H&R Sport springs and Bilstein Sport shocks.
Oddly, mine seems lower than his...

I can fit one finger on top of the tire in the front and I can't stick any fingers between the tire and fender in the rear.

Trying to show the rear a little, though that obviously wasn't the intent of the picture at the time.

You can kind of see how close the top of the tire is to the fender in this pic:

Oddly is right. In most pics your car looks "dumped" and out of travel. Sockethead's car looks slightly higher, which is why I wanted to see more pics...

Do both of you have camber plates or anything else that could slightly affect the ride height?

How would both of you report on the lowness and travel?

at those heights there basically isn't any travel left up front due to the long internal bumpstops in the bilstein struts.

ground control makes a nice 'street' camber plate that provides an additional 1.2" of travel - that's huge! they are $400 though.

I don't have anything else installed...

I don't have anything else installed either other than sway bars and that's not going to affect static ride height. I know that different brand tires are different widths and height even though the size is the same... ie my Dunlops are about an inch wider than the Hankooks I have on it now. I also have different wheels on it now that are wider and have a different offset. I'll post some pics of it in it's present state when I get home so we can see if tire/wheel combo has any affect on the perceived ride height....

Sorry guys no pics with the new wheel/tire combo. The twins are taking up too much of our time to get any decent pics.
Looking at it, there really isn't any noticeable difference between the two.

For those of you considering the Bilstiens, they are borderline too stiff for the streets of the Northeast IMO. I find myself dodging every bump/hole in the street because of the harsh ride. Kinda takes away the fun experience of the car. The Koni yellows I had on the car at least were adjustable. The KW V2 coilovers on Kpro's 135 ride much better too...

I have to second this. It was fine for the first couple of years but it got old quickly. At the same time though, their performance was excellent so it's an excellent pick if you don't mind stiffness. We have too many bumps here for it to be acceptable unfortunately.

Heretics! Been on Bilsteins for over a year now here in the northeast. A little stiff ride (that sounds dirty) isn't a bother. Buncha' nancies in the Mafia!

Certainly not the first car on Bilstein HDs, Sports or PSSs...

I really liked those wheels. The black chrome 2 step powder coat was amazing but they kept cracking in the spokes so I had to junk them... I went through two sets of those.
I wish the Bilsteins where a little more forgiving other than that, I'm pretty happy with the stance, etc. I wouldn't want to go any lower, especially with the splitters I have.
