View Full Version : Cold weather package
I am sure it has been asked, but I can't seem to locate it. What does the cold weather package consist of and does it have it's own code? I have seen heated seats of course and headlight washer, but non labeled cold weather. Also, is the steering wheel heated? Not essential, but it s nice touch in cold weather, like Chicago. Winter just left.
Thanks Ed

The steering wheel isn't heated from factory on e46's.
Iirc the cold weather pkg included
Headlight washers
Heated seats
Ski-launch bag or something like that
My zhp came with heated seats but doesn't have the cold weather package though

CWP also included folding rear seats in the sedans. I think those were standard in coupes?

Yup. Cold Weather Package came with:
Fold down rear seats (standard in coupes)
High pressure headlight washers
Heated front seats
Ski bag that passes through the middle seat

Correct. But no fold down seats in verts. And yes, you can have heated seats without CWP. I'll check my build to see what the official title for CWP is later.

My 2005 ZHP sedan came with folding rear seats, but no CWP.
Both of my cars have heated seats but no fold rear seats or cold weather package. Side mirrors are heated
Thanks to all who replied. It looks like I can just run the Vin thru BMW Vin decoder to see of the heated seats and or washers are present. Might be coincidence, but I swear there are very few ZHP's listed in the Chicago area. Closest I found (and let slip away last Christmas) was in St Louis. The search goes on... Ed

As I someone told me here when I first hopped on this forum, a good indicator of the Cold Weather Package is to search for the headlight washers (as you thought), and if you're looking for Premium Package look for lumbar support. Both were unique to those packages.

I pulled th black book cost guide. This is what they state the cold weather package (zcw) gets you. code 494 is heated seats, I am unsure what 502 and 465 are for.
