I agree with Charlie's post on the other thread that the price is ridiculous, but they're getting rarer. I still think people are forgetting that these originally sold for $1600. The $300-500 bars are probably soon going to be a thing of the past

Hey....if that guy thinks he can get $1k for a strut bar, even if that strut bar is a BMWP strut bar then more power to him but I wouldn't touch it unless it was $400 cheaper....

With that said...anyone interested in paying me $1k for a used BMWP strut bar??? ;) I'll even include shipping :)

I just paid a pretty penny for mine here on this site but $1,000 is waaay too much, but they are getting rarer and if you want one, you'll have to pay for one...

I would get this strut bar from Turner Motorsports before spending $1000 on a used BMWP strut bar...

The price on this is a blistering $229.95. Compared to the $1000 this is a huge bargain and will still look good in any engine bay :thumbsup It's made of aircraft grade aluminum.

I might just purchase this bar just because.....;)

indeed, charlie!! :)

yeah, for me... it's ludicrous. for me... a strut bar has to be function over form. i don't care what it looks like (it's under the hood), as long as it functions correctly (like this one does - no hinged joints), and keeps the strut towers from mushrooming as well.

Yeah but it should still look good for the time when you do open your hood. To me the strut bar I posted from Turner Motorsports would fit nicely inside the engine bays of either cars I own... :thumbsup

That is my next strut bar - whenever I get around to it. lol
I will be painting mine though. Chrome has no place in my engine bay.

I will use chrome to accent all the carbon fiber goodness inside my engine bay... :thumbsup I might take out the BMWP carbon fiber strut bar in my ///M and hang it in my house while using this strut bar..... just maybe....

The turner bar looks great, simple and sleek. I think that is my second favorite strut bar.
