Just got out of a cellphone ticket and I figure it's finally time to get a proper car phone setup.
Anyone have a bimmian mount around?

As I recall, their shipping was expensive. I got mine from a guy on e46f.

I just need to get better rubber inserts so the grip can hold my phone better.... the ones that came with my holder fell off and got lost....most likely vacuumed and then thrown away....

I forgot to enable subscriptions so I hadn't seen the replies. Thanks for the suggestions. Just wondering if someone has a 2nd hand one around to save on the retail cost... not in a rush.

I can snap one in a bit. I use the center vent closest to the steering wheel and run my short charger cable right up to it from the cig lighter. It's nice having it almost eye level.

Obviously I couldn't take one with my phone in it but you get the idea.

And does the blockage of air for the vent become an issue?

It's buried away right now.
No the blockage isn't an issue for me at least. Cold air won't do anything to it. Heat in winter I just close that vent. You can point the other center vent at you if need be.
Wife had same one in the E91 and I have one in my Pilot as well.

Thanks for the heads up! Unfortunately thanks to our glorious currency I end up saving only $10 if I buy that one. I think it's made in Canada so it's cheaper here.

Hey Alex.
I have the Bimmian mount in my car. I really like the metal "arm" part of it, I forget who makes that... Pana-something IIRC. The "clip", which is the part added by Bimmian, is only so-so. As Charlie said, the rubber pads fall out due to the way they stick in their spots, and it doesn't most larger phones - it's perfect for my iPhone 5S, but doesn't fit my BlackBerry (who?) Z30.
I also own two of these mounts

I use them in all my rental cars and LOVE them. The suction cup is made of the gooey material so they stick to textured surfaces and curves, and the clip is one of the best I've come across anywhere. It also supports NFC (although I don't know what I'd use that feature for).
I wish they sold a version of the clip that could be mounted to my Bimmian "arm" - that would be a perfect mount.
