I was cruising the old classified section and came across and M3 fuel pump assembly for $100. Seller says it came out of a car that had 50,000 miles on it. Now here comes the question....

Could I swap and M3 Fuel pump with the one out of my 330i? What would be the benefits/disadvantages of doing said swap? What is the difference in fuel pressure between the two pumps if there is any? Is it even worth doing the swap?

Love the forum, thanks in advance guys!

No. The fittings are difference and the fuel pressure is actually lower in the 330i as well. Not worth it. The only reason to do this is if you are doing an S54 swap which involves replacing all the fuel hardlines too.

It can be done, but there's no advantage unless you're boosted.

You can swap in the M3 fuel baffle (16 11 2 229 656). I would recommend making sure you are quite low on fuel if you try to swap it out.
