Im looking to get rid of my clear lighting set up on the ZHP and go with smoked on the corners, fenders, tails.
ECSTuning has the LED tails, anybody had experience with those and whats your opinion?
Khoalty has R/S/R tails that are halogen. experience/opinion as well?
Theres roughly a $150.00 difference in price between the Eagle Eye LED ($280)/halogen sets. ECST has a HELIX set thats $200 but on backorder.
both Khoalty and ECST sell the smoked corners, id probably have to go through Khoalty or someone else to get the fender markers.
Personally I would not do it. If you want smoke, tint your existing lights. Otherwise the quality is not the same as the Euro light sets.

Vas: do you have experience with either set?
i did some research on the LED eagle eye tails and while the quality is there, the LEDs apparently burn out after some time. they are apparently wired in groups of 4 and if one goes out they all do. guys end up having to rewire and even replace them. thats not something I'm willing to do considering id be dropping $280.00 on a set.
I had a set of Eagle Eye Tails that I ended up selling. They do look nice on the exterior but that is about it. The backside of them is kinda sloppy including the covers that hide the boards. And you are correct about them being wired in groups.
My suggestion is still to vinyl your current lights or stop by a body shop and have your lights tinted using automotive clear with a tint. I had this done to my wife's old car and it looked nice.

not a bad option, the car already is going to the body shop when it gets warmer for some touch ups/overall cut and buff on the paint plus repainting the hood/front bumper.
just wondering how the halogen r/s/r sets are so i don't have to "trash" a set of r/c/r tails to get the smoked look id like.

They're not really R/S/R... the reds on those lights are tinted as well.

I would agree with vas. Just get a set of tint for the turn signal.

That's what I did when I had my Depo LED's.
Been meaning to do it with my OE Clears since I got them but never got around to it.

bringing this back to life just to point out:
Khoalty has the EE LED smoked tails for $185 while ECST has them for $280

I like the ecs tails, it's a subtle smoke and they look well built. Either way I look forward to seeing them installed. Btw your sig pic is awesome. Makes me want another e30. . .

The tail lights on ECS and khoalty should be the same based on the item descriptions. I'm just curious why one is $100 more than the other.

One is probably Depo and the other... Not.
