I got a LCM 4.0 I recently got but with the efforts of Terra, I don't need this anymore.

It's actually coded already for few features:

Triple Blink
Rear Fogs
Tri-Fecta headlights
US Corner delete
US DRL enable (high beams and rear parking lights)
BFD stage 3
Euro Hazards



All that left for you to do is to use PA Soft and code to your VIN and set the Kilometers to 00000 and it will pull from your cluster. :)

I'm a bit foggy on all of the variants of the LCM's. Not sure if these are actual factors:

This is a standard US 2006 Coupe one. The faceplate is a standard Auto US with NO rear fog lights.

Thanks Charlie. I am a little foggy on how the LCM works on a pre-LCI E46 as the taillight wiring is slightly different.

Be careful on this one. I don't think it'd work properly in your car since as Derek said the wiring is different. I dealt with the opposite issue (a prefacelift LCM wouldn't work in my car).

Well, the newer LCMs are modular enough to change what pins do what depending on how they're coded. So if uncoded, it probably won't act right. But if coded properly, it will know how the car is wired
