I've finally decided to go ahead with it and pick up some angel eyes for my zhp today, and was looking for some help/tips/reviews etc..
I am a big fan of the OEM color that some E39's come with, but just want something brighter. I'm not really into the really bright blues and whites. Any advise?

Stay around 5700K to 6000K and get the V2's/V4's.

Dane, quickly, v2/v4? I'm new to these things. Also, I'm looking to get something with an easy install.

I was going to say Umnitza, I recently got their Orion v4, but since they´re led they are extreme white not blueish, dont know any OEM look alike in the market...

I might even go with Weislichts from Bimmian.

If you don't want white/blue I wouldn't get the 6000k. I would get the 4300k or gold color. If you go to the Orion V2 product page you can see pictures of the different colors http://www.umnitza.com/predator-orion-v2-led-angel-eyes-with-remote-p-1198.html
Here is my car with the 6000k V2's.

I've never compared the V2 vs V4 in real life but the V4's (http://www.umnitza.com/predator-orion-v4-led-angel-eyes-with-remote-p-6108.html) are supposed to be brighter. There's a $100 difference between them too.

Install is a bit harder for coupe requiring a bake in the oven.

Good point. Was going based on the ZHP coupé since they are all facelifted. M3 and prefacelift just pop off like the sedans [emoji3]

Yes I installed them myself and its really not that bad but as others have pointed out it will be harder for you to dissemble your headlights since you have the coupe.
Here's the instructions I looked at:

Exactly Im kinda hesitant to bake them because I would probably mess it up putting them back on. Im sure someone on here has done it, I just need a walk through or something:facepalm

I did mine and just used a Heat Gun. I was hesitant beforehand also but just took my time and they came out great. Just read over the reviews. Taking the headlights out took more time than heating them up a taking them apart.
Khoalty 6000K LEDS.

Sillieidiot (Heiu) did my install including the baking, as I did want to mess it up either. Turns out it's pretty straightforward. PM him maybe. I went with Orion V2s at 4300K (V4 was not out then).
