looks great. the only downside to the E36 for me is the non-adjustable steering column - i just can't get comfortable in it.

+1 There are a lot of things that the e36 didn't have to offer that deterred me away. But if it's right for you, I say jump on it

Love the M3 sedans, have had 2 e36 M3s, they are great fun and bridge the gap between the e30 and e46, combining a visceral feel and daily driving comfort, I would buy another. This one looks well kept with great maintenance history, priced fairly too.

I would ask for better pics of the door panels and headliner, as these commonly sag (smh BMW). The door panels I believe are NLA, and the headliner I'm not sure about.

Another downside is that my brother said they suck to work on I guess maintenance wise. I sent the seller and email and he responded but I haven't heard back a second time about the ceiling liner or door panels. I'll probably go take a look at it this weekend.

+1. Very similar to other E36 6cyl. cars and can be handled by a knowledgeable DIYer. E30 & E46 M3 engines are going to take a more maintenance, but the US spec E36 M3 does not require items like shimmed valve adjustments and other special (ie costly) massaging. If you can handle the interior bits falling off (ask me how I know), then they are otherwise great cars and a lot of fun.

Dunno, my friend's E36 M3 is pretty easy to work on if you ask me. :dunno
The only thing I could see being a problem is certain things being rusted because the car is so old.
