How is he to deal with?

He won't ship shit. He rather deal face to face . N he ain't really about negotiating either . So kinda oh k . U have better luck finding it online for the same price . Just easier for us as he lives here. What u looking for

overall, the car doesn't look THAT bad. pending the frame is intact, would make a good project for a track car.

The copart ad said the car was in a flood.

check. Mine is starting to rust along the bottom. I'm sure it'd be semi-expensive to crate/ship.

That's what the listing said, but it was also wrecked. I'm not sure the two were related.

He wants $300 for door (+$100 for mirror which I don't need).
Not sure what shipping would run.

Damn ... $ 400 + s/h ! Is that a pic of your door ?
Shipping a door is tricky. I don't it before and would not recommend it

Thanks. Charlie did is successfully, but I'm sure it is high risk.

That door needs paint work. Might not be worth the money

My door has rust along the bottom edge and I think it would be better to paint/fade-in an imola door than starting with another colored door, right?

I'll give you that, but either way, this door will need paint for sure. I see a gnarly scuff that looks deep. It's your call from here

Thanks. I do think shipping makes this one prohibitive. One quote I got was $300 via freight. The big dog (greyhound) is only ~$95! Dare I??

Maybe you can insure the door with Greyhound.
