List of OK tire sizes for 05 ZHP (wondering about 40 series in rear)

Is there a list somewhere of tire sizes that have done well on our cars?

Am thinking about changing from 35 series (Currently run Conti DWS 235/35/18 in the rear) and the 40s are substantially less expensive - and wonder if others have done the same.

i just installed some OE M3 take-off ContiSportContacts, which are 225/45/18 in front and 255/40/18 in the rear. as BP put it, "mmmmeeeaaattt!!!"

ride quality is great (read: better) and i feel better about the safety of my 135M's. plus they look the business!

AND, ironically... i was concerned about my speedometer being off, however i downloaded a speedometer app for my iPhone and measured it at 75MPH, according to my car's speedometer - and the app read the same! so the cluster speedo must be calibrated a bit high from the factory...

Yes. The readout on the cluster is higher than what my Ultragauge reads thru obd2.

I'm running 235/40/18's with 18x8.5" ET35 VMR's all the way around. See Sig photo...
