Move south!
+1!!
If its at least 55-60 I'll drop the top and turn on the seat heaters and roll up the windows. Beyond 65, normal 'vert driving!

No advice as I've never stored mine. You might want check out the vert section on e46fanatics, there might be something there.

I second what's in the link Dane provided. I use many of those tips when storing my coupe for the winter.

I store my 'vert in the winter, like all the summer cars I've had over the years. I essentially do Dane's list, plus the following:
- I install "beater" wheels & tires so that (a) my good summer tires are not exposed to the extreme low temps (they are kept in the basement) and (b) I drive on these during spring "pothole" season
- I lay a sheet of heavy construction vapour barrier on the garage floor, then drive the car onto styrofoam pads to prevent flat spotting
- I use a battery maintainer and leave it plugged in all winter using permanently-installed pigtail to the battery
- I put a breathable car cover the car, and then fold the vapour barrier up under the cover fully encapsulating the car
- I put a wall of styrofoam under the cover to protect the exposed side of the car from accidental bumps
I used to fog the engine through the intake using "storage spray" but no longer do this because if you do, you really should change your oil again first thing in the spring in case any of the fog makes it into the oil. I haven't had any issues not doing this, but I haven't torn apart my engines either.
Both my summer cars are asleep now...

I would also put the top up but stop it right before the last stretch and latch so the fabric is a little more relaxed.
