I am selling my 2005 330i ZHP (or performance package) with 6 speed manual transmission in Black Sapphire/Black Leather and 82,000 miles for $14,900. I have owned the car for almost 5 years. The car is all stock OEM with no modifications. I use only OEM replacement parts except when a known better part is available, such as the Stewart Water Pump.
I have followed BMW Tech Editor Mike Miller’s Old School Maintenance Schedule. I have a detailed maintenance spreadsheet available upon inquiry. Maintenance includes all driveline fluids with Redline products, all belts and pulleys, full cooling system overhaul (including water pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses, expansion tank, sensors, etc.), CCV (cold weather package)/DISA replacement, oil filter gasket housing, CDV (clutch delay valve) delete, new front corner lights, pads/rotors, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, front control arm bushings, fuel filter, power steering fluid, brake fluid flush, sway bar end links, and more. Cosmetic maintenance includes periodic paintless dent repair, professionally done 35% legal tint, regular UV leather protectant applied, new head light lenses, regular waxing/detailing, new center caps, and more. I am a BMWCCA club member, own multiple BMWs and this car gets driven approximately 5,000 miles per year or less.
The ZHP performance package modified the engine to produce 10 hp more than the standard 330i and it included a sport suspension developed by BMW M as a further stage beyond the standard sport suspension. It has unique M 18 inch alloy wheels and unique M aerodynamic body components, including front bumper/spoiler, rear bumper/apron/diffuser, and trunklid spoiler. It has a special M sport steering wheel with Alcantara-wrapped rim. It also has a short shift kit with 6-speed pattern and weighted knob. These are some of the highlights, but I can supply more information upon request.
This ZHP has the self-leveling bi-xenon lights. As noted above, I wasn’t happy with the headlight lense wear, so I replaced them with new lenses. It also has the cold weather package, which includes heated front seats. The sunroof tilts and fully opens as it should and does not leak. It has the Harmon/Kardon audio system and no NAV. The Alcantara“M” steering wheel is in very good condition for its age and does not need to be replaced or refurbished. All of the electronics on the car work and function as they should. Oil changes have been done at 5,000 miles or less using BMW 5w30 Castrol oil. There are no known fluid leaks.
On the inside, the black leather interior shows no apparent wear and looks almost perfect. I never used the carpet floor mats and they were kept in storage. I have recently installed them for sale and they appear as new. The interior essentially looks new or close to new.
Both the engine bay and trunk are spotless. The exterior paint looks lovely and has only the normal wear to be expected for a car of this mileage. There are some rock chips on the front of the car, but they are nothing more than you would expect from normal use. There are no known door dings, and I park my car in corner spots. The front bumper was never drilled out for a license plate and, therefore, has no license plate mounting holes.
The Autocheck report for my ZHP says similar cars are rated between 60-82 and my ZHP has an Autocheck rating of 87. I have the clean title in my name. I will provide a copy of the Autocheck report to serious buyers.
This is a three owner car originally purchased from Otto BMW in the Philadelphia area. The first two owners resided in the Philadelphia area. This car has been adult owned, maintained, and driven. It has been owned by non-smokers. I have not taken it to track or autocross events.
I am picky about the car’s condition and the only known flaw is two small hazy spots on the hood that are not noticeable unless you know to look for them. They don’t show up well in pictures, but they are there. Otherwise everything else looks and works as it should and all maintenance has been done preventatively.
The car comes with the stock 18 inch M style 135 wheels with new OEM center caps. The wheels show normal wear with very minor rash in some places, but nothing more than normal wear. The tires are summer performance Sumitomo HTR ZIII all around and the wheels are staggered as according to OEM specs (rear – 255/35 ZR 18; rear – 225/40 ZR 18).
If you want an E46 M3 four door sedan – there isn’t one and this is the closest you will get stock from BMW. An added bonus is that your insurance and parts will likely be cheaper than the corresponding M3. The car will come with several spare parts.
In short, if you are looking for a stock ZHP 330i sedan that has reasonably low miles, appears beautiful both inside and out, and has all preventative maintenance done – this is the car for you. More pictures are available upon request. I prefer to discuss by telephone and can be reached at 240.292.4607.
