So, I woke up this morning and found out that I have the next 2 days off, Woohooo!!! Been working tons of doubles lately. GO to Autotrader search 330ci and BAM my old 2006 330ci ZHP coupe is there, (PD99943)!!!!
Holy COW, I call them, they still have it, I jump in the shower and head out for the 2.5 hours road trip.
I get there all excited and they bring her around!!!!
My jaw dropped, Poor girl someone has not been good to her, some one has road her hard and put her up wet, literally, she smelled musty like she had gotten wet.
Scratches all over her, a big nasty door ding in DS door, big scratch on PS rear bumper, Clear coat issues starting on rear bumper. Front PS fender had dust and runs in the paint, DS front fender has dust in paint. Headlights are starting to fog, Radiator Support looks too new to be original. Brake sensor light in on, Needs Front brakes, Coolant Level sensor is throwing light, Engine service light is on. Car creaks and moans. Front end shimmies at speed. The Front tires need replacing, they are the ones that I put on the car 30k ago, one is pointed in the wrong direction (directional).
My heart just broke, poor girl, I feel like I abandoned her now. She was sooo clean when I traded her. I have all service records since new, still because I hoped to get her back one day. They were asking $13995, for her, NO WAY, but would only give my $14500 for my 08 335i with 47k on it NOT going to happen either, dude!!!
Anyway, my long lost baby will be getting away from me again…
Maybe $8800 but not $14k for her,
You would spend a good $2k bringing her up to speed and that was with me not seeing her on a lift to fully see the damages….
I did enjoy driving her today, she still runs well, I do miss my ZHP….:(

PS I put a small post about her in the FS section, titled Tampa ZHP, they said they had several callers some from GA and I want people to know before someone takes the leap

Too many people that trade their ZHPs for 335i's wish they did, based on what I've read.

bummer. but, good call on passing on it and posting about the issues - always good to have an honest opinion.

personally, that sounds like a lot less than an $8800 car. that sounds like thousands of dollars (not to mention time) of issue-sorting.

It's stories like this why I won't trade in either cars.....at least when my daughter takes custody of my ZHP, I can keep an eye on her while in my daughter's hands :)

Sorry to see this happen to your ZHP though...

Yeah, I wish I would have kept her… It's only a car but you get attached to them sometimes. To know what she used to be compared to what she is just 22k miles later is just heart breaking.

A full list of issues that I spotted/noticed but I did not put her on a lift so there may or may not be more;
Body:
Front bumper needs to be refitted, sags on DS.
Both Front Fenders have dust in the paint, PS has run in paint.
DS Door has a huge ding dead center, missing paint. The door will have to be worked/sprayed.
Rear Bumper has scratches, clear coat issues, paint scrape on PS.
PS rear window needs new rubber, it's all chewed up/torn.
Doors need to be realigned/adjusted.
Random scratches over the car, rear trunk area. You might be able to polish some out.
Radiator support looks to be new, but can not confirm.

Drivetrain:
Coolant level light on (Sensor)
Brake Light on (needs front brakes)
Engine Service light on.
Clutch is a little weak.

Suspension:
Front end shimmy, could be tires and/or suspension parts.
Needs new front tires.
Creaks and Moans, probably time to do refresh on suspension.

Interior:
Normal Alcantara Wear, will need some refreshing of random pieces, Black Cube Trim.
Smells Musty like it has been wet at some time.

If anyone does bite the bullet, PM me and I will send you all the stuff that I have on her.
Car was originally out of Pembroke Pines, FL. Car was CPO and originally had extended warranty.

IMO, $8800 is very generous on this car, I figure they bought it at auction for a lot less than that… $6500 for the lower mileage but that is it.

Sounds like this car got into a front end accident which is why fenders are repainted w/ dust in the paint and doors requiring realignment/adjusting....

It kills me how people abuse these cars and rag them completely out...very unfortunate to see.....

All of the above listed issues screams one thing to me:

Cheap. Ass. Mofo.

Someone obviously didn't want to maintain it and pay for proper bodywork, so they sent it to Billy Bob down the street that works out of his garage. :shifty
