Weather was so nice today, it was difficult to find a great spot to snap pictures. Had just enough day light left for this shot. Found some trees that were changing colors for the fall theme.

Alright fellas.... here is my submission :)

As most of you can probably guess, "Fall" in good ol' (and very dry) California is not characterized by the same amplitude of yellow, orange and red leaf covered streets as it is in..say..Connecticut. Hills here are brown and tan. Most of the trees are either green or dead, and finding a place where I can set up my tripod, spend some time under a not-green/dead tree, and not be bothered by some inquiring cop or passer-by is seldom possible. Add 60+ hour weeks to the mix and Day Light Savings time and you have a great recipe for.. failure. So I had to get creative.

I decided to shoot this at night, because by the time I got off from work/school, I had no other choice. And because I couldn't find an acceptable location with trees, I turned to what California has plenty of: vines.

After some Google map plotting, I was able to find a public (read: Legal) service road that ran between to patches of vineyard. This meant that I could take my time, and although not perfect (it's never perfect), here is the best I can do....

eh. doesn't matter perhaps - Anyway, I am going to attach and also post from photobucket.
MODS: it's the SAME pic - just different upload method -just delete the one you think is worse. (IDK - they might be exact same quality - in any case, just delete the worse one of these 2)
EDIT: deleted the photobucket upload - I don't see any big difference.
note: I had to adjust sharpness manually and it created some weird outline around some shadow areass. just FYI. :)
