2003 Mystic Blue with Black Cube and Cloth/ Alcantara interior BMW 330i ZHP Performance Package sedan for sale. Car is a 6 speed manual transmission and has approx. 98K miles. Car is in excellent mechanical condition. This is a “Pre-Production” car that was owned by BMW NA until it had 22K miles when I bought as a CPO car from BMW of Towson in Maryland. Car has a few unique items that never made the production run (///M Badged door sills and dead pedal). Could be one of the very first ZHP cars in the USA. It is worth noting that this is a rare “slick top” and does not have a sunroof. I am the first registered owner and have owned the car since September 2005. I am a long time BMW CCA Member and dedicated enthusiast. This ZHP is the best BMW daily driver I have ever owned and has been a joy to drive and maintain for the last 9 years. Sadly, the time has come to let it go so that I can make room for a new BMW that I will take delivery of later this month.
Maintenance History:
I have a large file of receipts that cover all Dealer and my own maintenance. Car has been over maintained with oil changes every 5-7K miles. I only use BMW parts and have gone through all the routine items that you would expect to be addressed in a ZHP with this mileage. All receipts and invoices will be included with sale of car. Also have all VA state safety and emission inspection reports as well as CPO documentation and build sheet from BMW.
List of most notable items addressed within last few years:
DISA valve replaced
Valve Cover Gasket replaced
Spark Plugs and ignition coils
CCV system replaced w/ cold weather insulted parts
Entire power steering system refreshed with all new hoses and crush washers
Complete cooling system refresh in Spring 2014 (less than 10K miles ago) with new radiator, expansion tank, water pump, thermostat, all hoses and BMW coolant.
All belts, tensioners and pulleys replaced with all new BMW mounting hardware with above cooling system refresh.
Interior A and C pillars replaced because of typical delam.
ZHP weighted shift knob replaced.
All four ZHP 18” Motorsport Wheels refinished to like new condition with New Bridgestone RE0760 Tires installed (April 2014)
Rear Trailing Arm Bushings replaced with upgraded M3 parts and Vorshlag limiter plates. Rear Wheel bearings replaced at same time.
Brake fluid flushed annually. CDV installed for smooth shifting clutch.
BMW Synthetic Oil Change less than 500 miles ago.
I can go on and on about maintenance and have all documentation to prove my work and dedication to this car. Serious buyers are encouraged to come look in person. I have a lift at my house and am happy to help conduct a pre-purchase inspection with qualified potential buyers and their appointees.
Overall this car looks very nice and operates perfectly. I would not hesitate to drive it across country or anywhere else for that matter. Car is 100% ready to go and needs absolutely nothing.
Full Disclosure:
As an enthusiast and someone who has purchased several rare BMW’s over the years, many sight unseen, I feel strongly about being as fair and honest as I can. Here is a list of all known issues that any interested parties should be aware of.
A few years ago I clipped a small dear with the front left corner of the car. Damage was minimal, but I lost an expensive xenon headlight so I made a claim with my insurance company. This will show up on carfax. I did not want to paint any part of the car and since I owned the vehicle outright, I decided to fix all damage with BMW parts and the help of my dentless repair friend. There is still some evidence of this damage in the front left fender and hood, but it is very minimal and is only noticeable upon close inspection. I have noticed zero side effect or issues from this in the years since it has happened. Fender and paint is original as are all panels on this car.
Front windshield is being replaced this week. I caught a rock on my way home from work last week that caused a chip, which started to crack, and now has a hairline in the lower left. Windshield is being replaced by a BMW dealership with BMW glass. All other glass is original.
Car has been my daily driver for 9 years and has been parked in busy parking lots during the day. Car is not concourse by any stretch with several small scrapes, dings and scratches. Car is very presentable, but definitely a driver and not a garage queen.
If I get my asking price, I will include a set of 17” BMW wheels with Dunlop SP Wintersport tires that have tons of life left, A Thule E46 specific roof rack in excellent condition, a set of BMW weathertec winter floor mats and BMW fitted trunk liner.
I have some spare parts including both accessory belts and some belt line plastic trim that will be included with the sale of the car.
Build Sheet PDF and additional photos available by request.
Car is located in Chantilly, VA 20152 and can be seen by appointment. Mileage will increase slightly until the end of October as I drive it daily.
