Well my car has been sitting for two months... Ever since I broke another wheel on the way back from Bimmerfest.
Well we decided to just buy some cheap ass CSL replicas off of eBay until I can get what I really want.
We got 18X8 & 18X9 35mm offset in hyper black. These wheels aren't half bad for around $550.00 shipped.
In typical Chinese fashion, they look great from a few feet away but if you get up real close you can see dust in the paint and a finish that's not perfect. Other than that I'm pretty happy to be driving my car again after two months. We figure they can't be any worse than the Breytons and my TPMS sensors fit too. They even came with BMW center caps and the little ///M emblems... Of course the colors were slightly off but close enough...

I almost bought those same wheels! Love the Hyper Black. Looks good. How did they balance up?

Thanks guys !
Yea Charlie, I never thought I would either but the price was right and I wanted to drive my car before winter.
They seem to balance out pretty good. 95% of the wobble is gone and no tramlining. The Breytons were horrible even after having them straitened.
I should add that swapped out the Dunlops for Hankooks
Not sure where the rest of the out of balance is coming from. I used a different shop this time. Going to road force balance them and see what happens.

Those looks really good Rob. Hopefully these won't self destruct!
These look good, but I would be very careful with them. Cheap wheels are easy to break or crack, and that can result in anything from losing air pressure to an accident. Good luck on your search for whatever wheels you wanted originally!

You don't know my back story, eh? I've been dealing with bent, broken and cracked wheels for years. Take a look at this Breyton

What do they weigh compared to the real things?
Sockethead

I have no clue.. Never thought of weighing them I just wanted to get them on the car.
I can say that when I picked them up it wasn't like "holy shit these things are heavy"

Looks great, Rob. If they turn out to be decent maybe we can all buy them!!! It's cheaper than getting a set of 135s repaired...

Funny you mention that... My wife and I thought the the same thing. All four of my 135s are bent from the great roads here in south Jersey.

yeah... they are heavy, then bend easily, they crack.... but man, do they look SWEET or what? i love the way they look on the car. but i know my 135M days are numbered (i have already had a cracked, and another bent wheel, in 6 months of ownership - and i am Mr. Pothole Dodger).

Hmm.... Now I want some lol. My 135's , while structurally sound...for now, are aging badly. I would just hate to take these aftermarket wheels to a track day or on a spirited drive and have that good ole' fashioned Rota situation lol.

I've never seen 135's do what the Rotas do...

I meant the aftermarket wheels that Socket picked up lol. God if 135's pulled a Rota I'd drive everywhere at Idle... All the time..

Yea my Breytons were like Rrotas. I think I trust the new wheels more than those...

Nice. I may check these puppies out after seeing how your experience goes. Which I hope continues to be a good one :)
