Right now doesn't look good primarily due to work scheduling but that can change. As for maintenance ? I'll be addressing the critical maintenance by the middle of this month and the rest I should be able to defer to while at Dane's house. I will know for sure by mid May whether or not I can make the trip...that's the best I can do for now...

Question: I was looking at Saturday's activities to see when I can slide in and saw lunch at the Morlein Lager House from 12:00 to 1300. I see this is very close to the Cincinnati stadium and the Reds have a 15:10 game that day.

With that being said, what's the parking situation going to be? Is parking included with lunch? I sure don't want to pay event parking for lunch.

Anando and I spent some time crunching some numbers tonight. Unfortunately, due to the distance, the falling dollar, and conflicting budgetary demands, we have agreed that this trip will have to be a no-go. I was really looking forward to reconnecting with The Family that welcomed me in with open arms last year, and Anando was quite excited about this as well. Perhaps if it's a little closer next year, we can look again to do this. And depending on the timing, I know that Brent would be up for it again, too.

I guess we'll have to settle for reading about it and seeing the pictures!!

Vas, I have a room booked at the Best Western in Mason - apparently one of the last rooms they had available. In any case, it's got a king size bed, but if we can finagle a roll-away from the hotel, I'll gladly share costs. Guys,

I figure the supllies (burgers/dogs/beverage/buns/condiments/plates/plastic ware/sides/desert) are going to run me $300-$400. We're looking at 42ish people attending the Friday night barbecue. The reason I mention this is I'll have a big Mason jar on the table for any donations you guys wish to provide to help offset the cost. Donations can also be made via the donate button on the site. I won't be keeping track of who donates and who doesn't as it's not mandatory, but I thought I would mention it. Also...the rules for the park are pretty generic. Let's be smart and respectful of the facilities.

I figure the supllies (burgers/dogs/beverage/buns/condiments/plates/plastic ware/sides/desert) are going to run me $300-$400. We're looking at 42ish people attending the Friday night barbecue. The reason I mention this is I'll have a big Mason jar on the table for any donations you guys wish to provide to help offset the cost. Donations can also be made via the donate button on the site. I won't be keeping track of who donates and who doesn't as it's not mandatory, but I thought I would mention it. Also...the rules for the park are pretty generic. Let's be smart and respectful of the facilities.

Additionally, please let me know of any special requests.

Yep. Moved up here after retiring from tge military, Oct 2013. Last years meet was in New Jersey (Kayger12-Moderator/Administration ran with it) because I was retiring, moving, etc....

And speaking of water, I'm :begging that there will not be any really nasty (read hail, flying horses, cows or similar type beasts) weather in the area at least on Saturday. If so I'll probably take the R32 instead and perhaps we can re-schedule the shoot later on for somewhere in Chi-town since that's still within hollering distance. The VW has a half dozen or so pockmarks from a previous hailstorm, so it's already proven sturdy enough to be pummeled by golf ball sized projectiles.

Fall sounds good. I think for travelers sake a major city (or vacinity) would be best.

I can try to put some ideas down for Chicago but y'all ain't gonna fit in my loft lol.
