Shark Injector for ZHP Engines (SOLD)

I have a used shark injector that I had installed on my ZHP. I'm selling it for $150 shipped to you or directly back to Turner where they reflash the software to use with another vehicle.

There is some confusion over how much it costs to reflash it. I have confirmation from Turner that as long as you are flashing the same software (ie. 330i/ci including zhp software, 2003-2006 models) it costs $50. I bought the Shark from another member on E46f and did the same thing. It cost me $50.

Here is an email from an employee at Turner:
Hi Alex,
If you are using the same software file on a different vehicle, its $50. If we are reprogramming the injector with a different software file, its $150.

That brings the total out to $200, $150 dollar savings over purchasing a new one from TMS.


Nothing wrong with the injector, I uninstalled/restored it properly and am going with a custom tune.

Turner can do that now? Previously the Shark Injector FAQ said once you flash a DME, the Shark records that DME number and refuses to flash any other DME. So for $50 Turner can reset it so someone else can use it?

That is correct. I did that with this injector. You can call and confirm.

I like this development too. When I bought my Shark from BimmerWorld, it was drop-shipped to me from Turner.

It was originally purchased from Turner, yes. I dont know if it HAS to be purchased from them to do a reflash

I just spoke to TMS. Their charge for reprogramming (flashing) the Shark is a standard $150 (not $50) for the original owner and same VIN. He was not sue of the charge to change it to a different VIN but estimated it to be in the $300 range.

Is Josh at TMS or the PO of the Shark? I spoke to Shawn (sp) at TMS. Could all depend on their knowledge/training/etc.

Like I said, this is the employee I have been dealing with. He charged me $50 when I first had it done, and I just spoke with him this morning and he told me the same thing.

At the risk of trying to help a guy out here- I did confirm with TMS that they can do this.

Risks are
*The Shark needs to be restored/uninstalled correctly (which Alex states that he did).
*Needs to have the same performance file on it as originally sold with (not sure why it wouldn't anyway).

This sounds like a good deal.

I think the guarantee costs 150 extra on top of the asking price (Cost of an actual new one)

Honestly just pay with a decent credit card through paypal like buying anything else second hand. If it turns out to not work out, your bank will always back you, especially for software purchases like this. I wouldn't have any issue purchasing this at this point given the confirmation that turner can reset it.

Gary, you know me and my stance. Def worth it. Either that, or a Eurocharge or an AA tune. But at $150, this is WAY cheaper. It wouldn't do throttle adaptions but you have an SB so it's not really needed.
