Officially found Auto trans leak problem

Don't get salty at another trans thread, just an update to those who are following it. We finally found where the leak is. Bell housings were leaking badly. To be honest, I don't know what the cost will be to fix it? I need a cost analysis.

Mmmm.. if bell housing means rear main part of transmission, that sounds expensive. If it means leaking out of front of transmission, then the three likely leak locations are
1) Rear main seal, leaking motor oil into bell housing
2) Transmission input seal, leaking transmission fluid into bell housing
3) Clutch slave, leaking brake fluid into housing.

Wait! You have an auto trans, so it can't be the clutch slave. Is the fluid red/purple (transmission) or amber/brown/black (motor oil)?

Red, it's 600 bucks on top of a shifter seal leaking...
