News wires are reporting a 6.0+ north of SFO.

SFO is our airport, which is about 15 miles south of SF.
Anyway, apparently it woke up a lot of SF. However, being a (jaded?) NATIVE Californian, I won't wake up for anything under a 6.5. Haha
I was just in Sonoma yesterday for a BBQ too. Would have been quite the ride if it hit during the day. I am sure I will get to hear all about things flying of shelves from my co worker tomorrow.

Damn! Looks like things were a bit worse in Napa than they were over here. Hope all ends well for the 120 hospitalized and the 19,000 without power.

I felt it in the Berkeley area. Definitely Napa felt it the strongest cause the epicenter is right there near American Canyon.
No deaths, I think under 10 critically injured. I think damage looks minimal for a 6.1 quake.

Bad time to be funny, but can you imagine the smell inside that place? That alone could probably intoxicate you.
Guy looks heartbroken, though. What a mess.

Damn. I used to hate these. I lived in Granada Hills when that huge quake hit in the 70's.

We had a small one up here in Vancouver fairly recently. I was on my couch around 11pm or so when everything started squeaking and I swear I saw a "wave" move through the opposite living room wall. First thought was it upstairs neighbours making noise, but I realized it's a quake a split second later. I just remember grabbing my dog and heading to the nearest door frame for a minute. And that was only a ~4.6 quite a ways off. Trying to not imagine what "the big one" would be like. Earthquakes are no fun.

A little late, but I didn't feel it in the South Bay (SoCal).
