I love both wheels. The ARC-8s are everywhere. But so is the CSL style I guess. Help me decide!!!!

Size and color? Offset?

My vote is for Apex.

Depends on the look you're going for in my opinion. If you have lug nuts then I say go with the VMR VB3s. If you have wheel studs then get the ARC-8s. I think the ARC-8s are awesome wheels, especially when used with wheel studs :thumbsup

What color of ARC-8s do you have on your M3? That looks awesome! Custom?

Why are wheel studs better than lug bolts. I know wheels are easier to put on with studs. Might the stud kit also be like a small spacer?

I think Otter's is black. They do look good on his ZHP :thumbsup

With ARC-8s, if you're using open ended wheel nuts then you see them much easier as shown in the pic below...

Depending on the type of wheel nuts you are using they can add to what you already have :thumbsup

Not sure what you mean by this question. Stud kits don't have any spacers...the wheel mounts directly onto the hub once they're mounted.

But studs make it easier to use spacers or change spacer sizes without changing lug bolts

Thanks! I believe the are the "anthracite" color, but that's is after a quick image search in my iPhone..to be sure you'd have to ask Dario

nah, looks great as-is. :) in pics, wheel gap seems to be much more exaggerated. after adding 10mm/12.5mm spacers to mine with stock wheels, i can't see lowering it at all - if any, perhaps 10mm in the front, and that's it.

i like suspension travel. :)

Thanks guys. They are 18x8.5 ET38 / 18x9 ET42. fitment is prefect. Honestly, was not initially in love with the hyper black finish (looks a bit 'chrome-y' in direct sunlight) but they are growing on me. still kinda wish I had gone with anthracite...

Hyper black is more to a chrome black finish i believe.

I am more excited that the ARC-8 are available in 19's now.

Honestly, I like the silver on silver. To me, it gives off a kind of mature, "I don't mess around" look :p :dunno

See I dont like TiAg cars. The color just doesn't do it for me. But every time I see a picture of your M3 or Pip's I think man I could easily live with that.

Apex ARC-8's get my vote. Those are the wheels I'm getting on my next car.

i've had both, and i prefer the arc-8s more. it's lighter too. but it would depend on the wheel specs. for the arc-8s to look really good, you need an aggressive fitment so that it looks concave. otherwise it looks flat. if you're going with less aggressive fitments, the vb3s actually look better. as for studs/lug bolts. it doesn't really matter, i think it looks good either way.

Problem with concave is you have to do a lot of work to get them to work on non-M's. I am perfectly content with the non-concave on my TiAg. Aggressive enough that I still get looks from the masses, even first glance Bimmer heads still think it's an M. Not exactly what I was going for, but oh well. :)1517215173

i'm pretty sure people look because you have angels, then they see the rest. it's not the wheels that make your car stand out. And the fact that they are dark, it makes it harder to discern what it really is.

I went from a VB3 style replica to the APEX wheels. At first I didn't think I'd like the Arc8's but now I'm very satisfied with them.

18x8.5 +45 offset, 12.5 spacers in rear, same coming for the front. 245/35/18 Michelin PSS all around

The wheels I had were too wide for the rear 18x9 +35 and the tires were Federals, these fit much nicer without rubbing and the tire upgrade was a huge plus.

I'm running 235/40/18 in front and 265/35/18 in back on stock 135s. Both front and back could go with less offset for a wider stance and I haven't rolled my fenders. So I could still do that. I am on Megan lowering springs too.
