I was in the market for new brakes. Found a company selling on E46F. Seemed a bit to good to be true so I researched and even went to their shop in Garden Grove. Here is what I ended up buying. Centric High Carbon Drilled/Slotted Rotors with Stoptech Street pads and wear sensors. Got some stoptech stainless lines from work too. Braking feel is PHENOMENAL and the front PZeros really have to work to keep up with the braking force. Also, I paid $350 :applause2 Did I do good?

What did the $350 get you?
Rotors, pads, wear sensors.
And yes, it can get better than that.

Sounds good. My experience with StopTech pads are....great stoppage, maximum dust on wheels.
No bueno.

Carbon,
So was this the normal deal from them or a 'special' with an expiration? Reviews on Centric seem 'good 'nuff''. I'm certainly interested. What kinda deal did you work for the stainless lines? :)

Ill get to that. I may know what you're getting at. The Centric part #'s are 125...This is because instead rotors that are drilled by stoptech at R1 and paying a premium, Westside buys centric blanks and drills themselves. Same process.

You are not wrong. Dust is worse than before. I wish I knew what kind the old pads were. They are unmarked. Ill take the stoping power and feel over a little cleanliness.

I have direct contact with them so you can pretty much get the price whenever. Its quite casual actually. I bought them through text and she sent me a paypal invoice. The stainless lines I only got for less because of a work discount that I still shouldn't have gotten

Sweet setup CarbonZHP. I just ordered some Stoptech Street Performance Brake pads and their Stainless steel lines from Turner Motorsports, looking for increased breaking performance. I'm using my existing slotted rotors.
I have darker wheels that are starting to lose their shine so I'm not too worried about break dust anymore. OZ wheel paint isn't the best. I'll probably end up painting them if I repaint the whole car.

Nice. Im trying to make a pretty balanced car. Its not the fastest car. Not the best looking. Not the lowest. But it can do all of those things pretty well. A little brake dust for better performance was just a compromise of performance vs. aesthetics in that area.

Follow up with these brakes. 1 year and 3 months later and Im still loving these brakes. A little more dusty than OEM but the confidence in braking is fantastic.

Update on these brakes over 2 years later. Zero complaints. I check for hairline cracking around the drilled holes given their reputation. No cracking. Still good performance.
