Long time lurker and previous owner from 2/12-7/13... see... My imola 330ci last year (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?10170-2006-BMW-330Ci-ZHP-IMOLA-96K-Wisconsin-16-500&highlight=imola%2C+coupe%2C+wisconsin)

After almost a year of searching I landed exactly what I was looking for this past weekend...

2005 Sedan Mystic Blue/Alcantara
Just passed 100K miles on the clock
One Owner- Montreal, Canada

Brand New BMW Engine at 80K miles, new fasteners, gaskets, sensors (oil starvation at the track ruined the bearings on the original)
Clutch Masters FX250 Clutch Kit with Aluminum Flywheel
BMW E46 M3 Engine mounts
BMW E46 M3 Transmission mounts
Custom Developed Active Autowerke Tune with Simon Programmer
Bilstein Sport shocks and struts
H&R Sport lowering springs
BMW Strut Mount Reinforcement Plates
BMW Shock Mount Reinforcement Plates
Turner Motorsport Fixed Camber Plates
Turner Motorsport Swaybars
Rogue Engineering front Control Arm Bushings
BMW Z4M Rear trailing Arm Bushings
Rogue Engineering Rear trailing Arm Bushing Limiters (Delrin)
Quaife ATB differential
BMW final drive assembly with 3.46 gear set
Z4 Heavy duty rear mounting Bushing
Z4 Differential Cover with Cooling Fins
Turner Motorsport Stainless Brake Lines

The car is in great shape- the alcantara steering wheel shows almost no signs of wear and the seats are the same. The previous owner sold me the car with Sparco rims/Michelin Alpin Winters. Thanks to NorCal-Dimitri I was able to return 135s to this car with fresh Conti DWS's.
Most likely will be looking to sell the Sparco/Michelin set if there is interest. The exterior has minor road rash that I will be repairing using Dr Color Chip. Other items in the pipeline that I am planning on doing in the next month: New lenses, LED tailights (Khoalty), Angel Eyes (Khoalty/Helios), Fog light add (they were removed to install brake ducts)

Looking forward to being apart of the family!

Congrats on the purchase!

I haven't seen the car around. How was the QC>WI import process? Is this a US ZHP or Canadian ZAM?

Congrats on the purchase!

I haven't seen the car around. How was the QC>WI import process? Is this a US ZHP or Canadian ZAM?

The process was kind of a PITA- Needed a letter from BMW NA stating the car met all DOT and EPA guidelines and that process takes 10 BUSINESS days. Flew into Montreal on the 10th Business day (Friday). Pleaded with BMW for hours to get the letter emailed but no dice. Crossed the border on Sunday with no letter-- and no import. Thought I was going to have to drive back to Detroit (which is the closest land-border crossing- 6.5 hrs away) but luckily was able to get the import done at the MKE airport CBP office once I got the letter from BMW- phew.

Also was forced to pay QST at the Canadian DMW to "register" the car for 3 days. Now I need to talk to someone/find the right rebate form to get that $1K back. Doesn't help that I don't speak French. :) Also had to pay 2.5% US Federal Duty. Swapped out KPH speedometer overlay with US ZHP overlay taken from a used ZHP cluster I got on ebay. Was able to do that at the sellers house in Quebec. The VIN decoder says the car was USA market with Option - S767A Performance package and L838A NATIONAL VERSION CANADA. Believe this is considered as a ZAM? Regardless, now that its in the US- I'm sticking with ZHP ;)

Wow, what a mess. Much easier the other way around. Pay 11% of NADA at the border, have an inspection done within 45 days, and register it while forking out another 10%. Expensive but worth it!

French is my first language - feel free to PM me whatever you want to send the SAAQ and I'll translate it for ya.

Found the listing on the local forums - what a nice car. At a very reasonable price on top of that. Hats off on the acquisition!

Wow, beautiful car with impressive goodies intact. Especially the part about a new engine at 80k. I'd kill for a new, leak-free engine, and, and, and, and...
