Thanks!
The mirrors are awesome. Makes changing lanes much safer, my wife noticed that right away. Plus my old mirrors had hard water spots on them. The new ones look sooo much better!

That wasnt all that bad, I ended up using a heat gun. Resealing was easy, just heated both sides up and pushed them together. The worst part was having the wires break off two of the Angel Eyes. Soldering them back on wasnt easy at all. Not sure if all Angel Eyes are made like these are but where the wires attaches to them is very delicate. They should epoxy over the wires to hold them securely in place. Doesnt help the wire is cheap 20 gauge.

Good to know. That does seem like a cheapo design.

I'm happy with the look of the Khoalty Angel Eyes but that was an issue. Here is the DIY I used. BTW I would highly recommend Not tinting the lenses as shown in this DIY, I almost ruined the reflector lens.

:drool Looks so good Gary, congrats!
Shawn, I went 245/35 and am very happy. I don't know that it's a huge difference... look at that tire size web page to see. IIRC, one is every so slightly wider, one is ever so slightly taller.

Thanks John. Just a little bit of rubber here and there... 235/40 are $10-15 cheaper than 245/35 it appears.

Well it started with countless searches on rim sizes, offsets, spacers etc. Looking at what seemed like thousands of photos of rim/tire setups and ride height. I already had a brand new front set of Yokohama 235/40/18's and then I seen Jon/Joop's sig photo of his car running all 235/40/18's with rim offset of +35 and I made my decision. I really wanted the option of being able to rotate my tires. Once I get the rear fenders rolled I will be installing the 10mm spacers I got from John. That should get the rear wheels out just slightly further than the fronts. As it sits now the fronts stick out approx 5mm more than the rears do. So it should look perfect.
And the 235's are cheaper as stated.

Minor as it is but I installed a On/Off switch for my Angel Eyes. Connected it to trigger #1 that is for the accessories key position 2. The other interior trigger still works even if the switch is Off.

I'd be interested in seeing how you hooked up the trigger to do this with my car. I was thinking about removing my angel eyes, but if installing a trigger is simple enough I think that'd be easier and allow me to have them when wanted.

My Angel Eye relay has 2 trigger wires, White and Yellow. White goes to the accessory wire in the ECU box, Yellow goes to the interior lights. I removed the White wire from the ECU and pulled it back thru the braided harness to the relay. Then I ran a new White wire from the accessory tap to the On/Off switch, then back from the switch to that White wire I just pulled back to the relay. The White wire that was connected to the ECU accessory tap kept the lights On anytime the key was in position 2 or the car was running.
Here is a link to the switch I purchased.
