As many other E46's, my headliner is sagging along with some peeling on the B pillars and I want to replace it. I've decided to do a grey suede headliner (similar to the alcantara headliner in the E39 M5) and either leave the pillars black or wrap them in suede as well.
When I did a black suede headliner & pillars in my previous ZHP, I had it professionally done but this time around, I'm going to try to do it myself. Has anyone redone their headliners? Specifically one with a sunroof?
I've done a bit of research and it seems like 4 yards should be good for the headliner and pillars. Heres the material I found: http://www.yourautotrim.com/suhec.html
If anyone has any tips, advice, etc. on sourcing materials or a DIY please feel free to chime in.
