Went to look at the car today. Being sold by the dealer "as-is" and without state inspection. As a result, I could not actually drive the car off of the lot.

Interior:

Yellow DSC/BRAKE lights on
Driver's bolster flattened (must have been heavier guy)
Usual shifter slop
Windows/sunroof in good shape
Pillar fabrics in good shape
Did not try stereo

Exterior:

Paint surprisingly nice
No major dents/scratches
Clears all around
Shadowline trim worn near the c pillars
Angel eyes (Kind of janky wiring though)
One brake light out per the RO
Wheels plasti-dipped
Vented/drilled rotors in nice shape

Mechanical:

Clutch seemed OK, hard to tell at low speed
Steering felt acceptable (again, low speed)
Engine fired quickly and made no noises out of the ordinary

Things to be done: (Inspection by the dealer)

Control arm bushings
Tires all around
Thermostat
OFHG
Upper/lower intake boots
Leak at the oil pan (could be residual)
DSC control module <----- ??

There may be a few things I missed. I have a copy of the inspection report I can look at later to double check.

Worst case scenario, this car is still a great deal. Probably just a bad speed sensor or some small crap. They rarely go bad.

I'll call tomorrow to see why they lowered the price, salesman I talked to told me the car was wholesale to the public with practically zero margins at 6 thousand.

If its just the DSC light, it could be a faulty module. They are about $700 to replace at the dealer.

They do know what is, when i was there one of the workers mentioned it was m sport. The description is all wrong anyway the is a manual.... They don't have any pictures either, not sure what the deal is

I'd put my money on the module being fried. Should be able to grad a rebuilt one for around $350ish with a 1 year warranty. Seems like a steal.

No news from my friend. He dealt with a different salesman who was totally useless. Claimed they had 4500 into the car, but thought it was an automatic four cylinder lol. I dealt with Jim when I was there who was more knowledgeable.

Im gonna go purchase the car in the morning! I went in today and talked to them, drove it around(I convinced them to let me take it on the road). My sales person did not know it was zhp, i asked him quite a few times about packages it had, and he just said cold weather. It is 3995+ 399 for dealer fee, so like 4400. What do you guys think about that? the light was no longer illuminated when i was there as well, idk what that means, and i did notice a slight oil leak from pan, which could be a number of things

what exactly was the light for? they are very nonnegotiable with the price i tried to cut a deal today, saying ill give them 4k cash right now, and they let me walk out. So i called them back and told them im coming in the morning and put a deposit, no going back now aha

i have been looking for one for so long was planning on saving up for one with much less miles, but this was a great offer. I think i will drive for a year or 2 then sell and purchase a lower mileage one, if need be. Or just sell for 85 and purchase a better one now! But the car had pretty great interior and exterior, wish they didnt black it out looks ghetto aha, but seems like a great buy im hoping! Any idea what the slight leak from oil pan could be? And i couldnt be more excited to get my first zhp

I was 66% going to put a deposit on this in the morning lol. They seemed very nice and when I was there were offering a customer their money back on a deposit.... so the option is there :)

aha yeah they let me drive it it took a lot of convincing! They were very much against it but finally told me I could if i took the salesman with me. Im going to grab the bill and title tomorrow am, then coming back with plates later in the afternoon. so hopefully will be home and good!
I hope there are no major problems as they are only doing as is, no warranty whatsoever :/

Purchased and picking it up around 5 tonight! cant wait! this lot was aweful though i would never recommend anyone to buy a car from them in your life, they are sketchy and make everything complicated! But they let me take the car out on the highway, shifted nice no wobble, no funny noises, and cant complain about that exhaust :D

So picked it up and been driving it around, checked at the mechanic there are actually no major problems! The break light is just a bad sensor, it does need a new clutch however. I noticed that while in reverse, or first, at low rpms, it makes a loud metalic rattling sound, could this be a bad flywheel? Also today the exhaust starting making a rattling noise as well, when revving high. Could that just be a loose bolt? or heat shield? So two rattling noises so far and a needed new clutch, but besides that it was surprisingly well maintained and runs great! Been showing up my friend in his V8 s4 AT haha

also peeled off the black plastidip from the wheels, i much prefer the aluminum look to zhp rims, none of that blacked out rims.
