My rotors were stuck to the hubs and instead of banging on them forever I came up with an idea that works flawlessly, get a five ton three jaw puller and attach like in the pictures and effortlessly snap them right off.

Great idea.

BTW, is it hard to remove the retaining hex screw? I usually have to use Impact Driver to remove them on Honda rotors so I was wondering if I need to do the same?

Can be if it's rusted a little. Some have broken or stripped them and had to drill them out. I had a little trouble getting them out but don't drive on salted roads. I put anti-seize on the screws now--somebody also sells stainless steel versions of the screw.

Just don't strip them... ask me how I know.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have my Impact driver ready when the time comes.

John,

Do you think centering all of that force on the bearing, can be detrimental to it?

Its not on the bearing really, its all on the axle shaft. The bearing slides over that part, should not affect the bearing unless I am mistaken and missed something. Sound right to you?

Yep. You are correct.
