View Full Version : FS: Factory red leather coupe interior

Hermes

My buddy is going to be parting this car out soon, I got the black carpet for my blue car. If somebody is interested the interior has not been sold yet.

Factory red leather power/heated/lumbar support front sport seats, rear split folding seats, door cards, door armrest pads = $1000 picked up in San Diego, shipping is extra and to be determined by where you are

Keith...

I have seen one sedan with this color interior. It was a 01 330i and was an "individual" car.

I'll stop over there tomorrow and run the VIN to see if it has Individual options. All I know at the moment is it's a black 5MT prefacelift 330Ci ZSP.

Forgot... I'm actually getting the rear 17x8.5 wheels as well. I already took the black parking brake boot so I could return the red car to stock.

I had an ad bookmarked on craigslist for an AW 330xi pre-facelift with sport package 5mt red interior, so they do exist.

That interior looks like Tanin Red to me. Ultra rare, and I've only seen it on pre-facelift cars. I've only seen it in person once on a pre-face 330i sedan.

Tanin sounds right to me, definitely rare. I've never personally seen a car with this color before in the 15 years E46's have been around

I have a sedan. The odds of finding something like this at auction is like... zero. :rofl It'd probably be trashed either way. W/e. I still keep an eye out for NB or clean black interiors for me to swap in.

No clue, I can give you my friends phone number if you want to see what he thinks it might be. The front seats are quite heavy and will probably cost a decent amount so it makes more sense for a local to come pick them up.

Just remember this is a coupe interior and I'm not sure what you would need to do to make it work on a sedan. Door cards won't work, the rear bench might not either but I've never tried swapping rear seats between coupe and sedan. Pretty much only the front bolts right in, but you'll have the tilt lever to get into the back seats still installed

In case anybody else is interested think about it quick. I'm heading out to John's shop within the next hour so these will likely be on eBay before the weekend.

Michelle, :hi. Good to see you around. Hope all is well. That supercharger still rockin'?

Hi, John!

The supercharger is still rocking, though it has had its share of issues. Last year I changed the primary fuel pump, fuel filter, and put in an M3 pump baffle, which worked for awhile to stop surging acceleration up a hill after a fast stop. I'm going to have to re-open the tank this summer and check that the baffle isn't loose, plus consider replacing the secondary pump, as I can hear a pump struggling sometimes when I goose the throttle. Earlier this year I had recurrence of some cylinder 6 open injector circuit faults in cold weather; they usually occurred after a warm start or after prolonged idle, and sometimes I smelled SO2 when getting out of the car, which means my cats got some unburnt fuel and may wear out sooner versus later. No O2 sensor codes thrown, though, so no news is good news! I will say that the S/C rocks 90% of the time, so I need to buy a radar detector before I buy myself speeding tickets! ;). Tonight I was very upset on the way to work, but came to my senses at about 3500 rpm in 6th; I was in the mood to bury the speedometer needle, and no doubt could have with revs to spare.

johnrando
05-02-2014, 06:12 AM
Glad to hear that any issues are being worked through. I'm sure it a blast to drive. It would definitely be tough to not get a ticket in. :biggrin Hope you continue to pop in.
