First BMW and decided on a ZHP Black Sapphire bought from NJ now in MD

Bought my 2004 ZHP Sedan last August from a dealer in NJ. Great advise and info from a former owner and Mafia member helped me appreciate the car more.

Currently doing extensive preventative maintenance and really love this car. Considering aftermarket shocks, springs, etc. plus new wheels - but think I may keep stock for awhile. But, this one has 114K on odometer already so mods for autocrossing may happen sooner rather than later -- hope to learn more on here on what the value of this car is and if its worth keeping stock.

Welcome! Beautiful car. And, what's this, Joop likes a black car? It must be April Fool's! :) OP, they aren't worth a lot in the big picture, mod away. If you want, just keep your original parts so you can return to stock some day if things change, which they may have some sort of outside chance to do, you never know.

Thanks all - good to be on here. Will post more pics soon - CCV, throttle body, DISA, plugs, new coils, etc - taking off valve cover this weekend - all just maintenance -- figured while I was in there to do vanos seals and vanos oil line as well. After engine all set was thinking of modding suspension and getting a limited slip - sure wish BMW would have had that as standard equipment - just assumed it would be there. I will read on here to see if anyone else tackled the diff. Also, I fixed stutter issue at 2800 - so can share with others on that in other threads if someone is interested.

Drove car for awhile and now want to prepare for some track days - PDX - nothing major, just want to take a few laps to see how the car performs at speed. Brakes, suspension and wheels/tires are next after standard maintenance. Already replaced all oils, fuel filter, etc. Refinished lenses as well already - came out OK - may go for new ones eventually. Another interesting fact about me to introduce myself is that my son and I race in SCCA Rallycross - you should see the BMWs out there! But, our car is a Subaru - cutting back a bit this year since my son is college bound, but glad to share any racing experience with members who are interested as I learn more about my ZHP at the track.
