Does anyone have a liter of ATE Superblue?

Hey!

I'm in the middle of my subframe reinforcement and I am trying to source some Superblue to top off the system. I haven't lost much at all, but will need to add a bit.

It's a bummer we can't buy it anymore....

Why dont you juse use ATE Type 200 and make it green :) It has the same properties.

Considering Super Blue is illegal now...you kinda have to. It's all I could find to buy recently.

I found 3/4 of a liter sitting in a box in my storage unit. Hopefully this is enough. I'll def take you up on the offer Joop, should I need it.

It was vacuum sealed before it was stored. I don't think it absorbed much moisture, if any. The things my friends come up with in their spare time.... lol

I may just order some Type 200. The Blue 400 has been in the car for about a year or so and has seen lots of spirited driving. It wouldn't hurt to flush it. From blue to green, why not?

Chaps for what it's worth, trying to ship this would be nearly impossible unless you are hazmat certified. Not trying to rain on anyone's kindness, just saving you a trip to UPS, etc.

I don't get the hype on the blue fluid. LOL. It's the same properties as Type200. Besides it being blue, thats all that was loss. Maybe you can throw food color in it ;)

I liked it because it made flushing the system easy. You'd know exactly when you had it completely flushed by switching from green to blue and back to green.

I personally just do one full bleeder bottle on each corner. :)

I don't recommend using it to wax your car... It won't work. :rofl

No seriously, its good to due a flush and bleed every 20K or so on a street/daily driven car. More often if you track... Good fluid is just like good oil... Better fluids perform better... That's about the quickest answer I can come to. I used Valvoline Synthetic on a past car, it worked fine. ATE on the ZHP, to be honest, it works fine too. The reality of it is that you won't notice any difference unless you track, a lot.

Benefit with ATE and other racing products is a higher boiling and wet boiling temperature. They can tolerate higher temperatures before boiling over.

WITH that being said, if you're not autocrossing or tracking the car, there is no benefit to ATE or anything else greater than OEM. These products are typically more hygroscopic (ability to absorb water) so you'll end up flushing your system more often.
