POLL!! Thinking of swapping wheels...

Alright folks... I'm thinking about swapping wheels... Why? I don't know.. I want something different. Part of me wants to step up to 19s... I still need to really decide if I want to do it, which is why I'm asking all of you. I'm only looking for your opinion on the LOOK. I know some will say don't go to 19s because the ride sucks... But, don't forget, my car sits in the garage half the year, and when it is driven, its done so on smooth, wide, flat roads... Florida is really easy on cars, so I'm not too concerned with the ride. Either way, the options are to either keep my current wheels, or step up to a set of 19" OEM Style 225 wheels (335i option Performance wheel or X1 M-sport wheel). Specs would be as follows... Pics included... So, post up and tell me what you like better...

1. Current- Avant Garde M359, 18x8.5", ET35 (square)

to be honest, i think the style 225's are absolutely gorgeous. i like them better than the M359's.... but 19s are huge and look a bit cartoonish on the E46 body. and how heavy are they?

Personally I like the wheels you have now. They compliment your car very well. But which ever wheel you choose, I will like either way :roundel

I say go 225's. Why? If you're asking the question it means you're tired of the 359's (csl look).

This will only get worse and more depressing with time.

I'm a fan of the E92 ZCP 359 over the 225. If I had a reason to replace my wheels I would get the 359 too Joop. :P

I have never seen M225s before; they’re gorgeous! Very similar “feel” as the M135s (so it compliments the ZHP’s M-Tech II wonderfully), but still obviously unique. I say dhu eet!!

Jon... tbh I think the Avant Garde M359's you're currently running is perfect! I think these wheels look so much better than the Style 225's but that's my opinion...

Honestly, no clue about weight, and honestly, not too concerned. I'm not looking to race or anything. Devlin picked up one of my M359s and said "Wow, these are light" so I suppose that's good...

How about some 19 inch 313's?
I've thought about the 19" 313s, but they're commanding such a ridiculous premium, and there's some talk about some are forged, some are not, etc etc... Not to mention, hard to find. With the 225s being the new X1 M-sport wheel, they're a little more common and easy to find now.

Honestly, the minute I posted this and looked at the two pics side by side, I actually felt the opposite. I totally love my wheels, have never not liked them, just was thinking about a change. Honestly, I don't like seeing "my" mods on other cars, so when I start seeing the same mods pop up on other cars, it makes me want to change my car and do other new stuff.

The 225's may be only slightly less a PITA to keep clean than the AG's.

But my vote is to keep rolling with the homey's on the AG's. :caseyshrug
