Hi All,

I have a 2006 X5 and am lucky enough to have an antenna regulator (6945425) connected to the Bluetooth.

Well.... I say connected, I actually broke the Fakra connection when changing out the TCU.

Question is,... what does it actually do and do I need to get a new lead (£25±) to connect it?

Cheers

James

I'm not sure... xoutpost.com tends to have good information about these types of things.

Here's one on eBay.

Even the seller doesn't know what it does!

I'll ask my BMW tech friend.

Update:
He says that if it's the module the antenna plugs into, it's a signal booster and filter. Since he's not sure what module you're talking about, he asks that you send a pic of the unit that was broken.

He needs to find out what exactly was broken; was it a cable or a module?
He referred to "antenna diversity", which is used for AM/FM reception, as well as keyless entry. Probably a different module, but once it's clarified what exactly was broken, he can explain what it is.

Is the "antenna regulator" and it's now the fakar cable that's broken....

Do I get a new cable? Why? Thanks!!
