NOTE: The car just rolled 90k, but I will not be driving it as much in the coming weeks so that I may avoid racking up miles. Also, the clutch was just replaced due to throw out bearing noise.

The car runs incredibly well, and is very smooth. It makes for a great all-rounder and daily driver, being very relaxing on the highway and making good MPG while still sounding great and being incredibly fun.

I recently replaced the Vanos with a Dr. Vanos kit, and it works beautifully. Also new is the thermostat, as well as new Hawk HP brake pads and Zimmerman rotors. The tires have less than 2000 miles on them, and the A, B and C pillars have all been replaced as well. Also, the oil is changed every 4-5000 miles with Castrol Edge 0w-30 Euro formula. Included in the sale will be a brand new set of unused BMW carpeted floor mats to accompany the older all-weather floor mats. Also, as of April 24, the car had a brand new clutch installed due to throw-out bearing noise.

The car also wears a 'Dinan 3' badge, as it has a Dinan high flow airbox, Dinan high flow throttle body, Dinan Stage 3 tune, Dinan strut tower brace, Dinan rear sway bar, and Dinan muffler. Also to accompany the muffler, a SuperSprint X-pipe and custom-fabbed straight piped section 2 have been installed. This makes the car sound truly unique compared to other 3 series, and is easily one of the best sounding 3ers I have heard. Not too loud or droney, but definitely very audible, perfectly aggressive and smooth on the way up and down, with some nice pops.

The only issues with the car are cosmetic. The driver's side door has a small dent from what seems to be a car door. It also has nicks that are to be expected with its mileage. The interior could also use a little love, but nothing severe. The speaker cover on the driver's door has a crack that has been there since I purchased the car, and the center console has wear, though replacement parts are easy to get ahold of on ecstuning. The reason I haven't replaced them yet is because I intended to put in a euro tray and make everything like new, but it was not my top priority since it was only a cosmetic issue. There are no mechanical issues, however; I have taken care of plenty of preventative maintenance.

I am starting the price at $14,000 OBO (or best offer), seeing as the mileage is lower than many other ZHPs out there, and it drives beautifully and has been well cared for. I am not willing to trade unless you've an M coupe, but I am open to offers. She needs a new home with someone to take care of her! I can be reached via message, or by text. How do the mod's effect the car (besides the exhaust)? Have you dyno'ed it? What about performance feel, handling? Lastly, do the mod's affect routine maintenance in any way?

Mostly sound wise, and a little more low end pull. I've not dynoed the car, but the feel is fantastic. Any of my friends who've driven the car have been amazed at how communicative the chassis is and how responsive and natural the steering is. The mods don't affect maintenance at all, no.

I'm truly perplexed as to why the guys in the SE who say they're looking for a truly nice one with maintenance history have not pounced on this car. If you're holding out for a $10-12K example with broken or spotty maintenance history, add another $1-2K to your budget for "surprise" unknown maintenance issues. Hold tight Brenan, your's is totally turn key, someone will eventually realize that.

Pretty incredible this hasn't moved yet with all those Dinan goodies. I guess all the super high mileage sub $10k zhp's are doing wonders for the value of our cars.

Actually surprises EAG doesn't buy this and sell it for $18-$20k!

EAG's business model is to turn $6K+ per car after their investment to bring maintenance up to date. Watch the 2000 323iT 5 spd, sport pkg, one owner pop up in a couple weeks. They paid $6.5K for the car and it needed a clutch, cooling system & suspension were already done by PO who I talked to. I bet EAG is in the $13-15K range for this wagon, we'll see.

They have a jet black over imola e46 m3 for $36k. I saw someone complaining on a different forum recently that EAG bought it out from under him for $24k. They mark some of their e30's and e36's up by $20k - that I know from multiple first hand experiences. They definitely have nice margins. But they do settle for a $3k-$4k 'normal' used car margin here and there too!
