Just noticed that you guys opened up forum registration and decided to join and share some of the production data. I'm sure it would be interesting for most of you. I've done similar graphs before(135is, 335is, X5 M), but never done it with so much information in one graph(transmission + market). I'm not really an expert at making spreadsheets, but I hope it is easy to understand. If anyone got any ideas on how to improve the spreadsheet, feel free to chime in.

For now, here is the production data for sedans.

Thats amazing data right there.

Do you have a database with this info, or just a spreadsheet data dump?

What is the source?

Thanks for sharing!!!

PS Your spreadsheet layout isn't half bad!

I got the data by pulling build sheets for every single 330 from BMW's ASAP website (http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/accessories/electronic-parts-catalogue/electronic-parts-catalogue.html). Then I isolated cars with the option S767A and that's pretty much it.

Way cool. Thanks. There are a few others here you should collaborate with on the data/analytics. If you have VINs, it would be great (to me) to have the zhpregistry.net updated accordingly.

You must have just gone through 1 by 1. Thats a LOT of work. Mad props.

Very nice spreadsheet. Thanks for sharing.

So, if I am reading this right, my car is one of only 45 Mystic Blue, Grey Leather, 6MT ZHPs in the United States?

Great stuff, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Now to add a little detail:

From the Wat-s-your-number thread, I found the earliest ZHP production date of 3-3-03 and the last Sedan listed was 1/14/2005. That amounts to 684 days of production if they worked every holiday and Sunday or approximately 3390 ZHPs annually . Close enough @ 1 year 10 Months and 12 Days. So, I did some simple math and evenly distributed this among dealers across the US and came up with the results by state below.

Good stuff Guy. So this is just a mathematical estimation correction (no real numbers)?

Really? Thought that would be common. EDIT: (oh, I get it, the Canada version). BTW, if these numbers are correct, I literally have the most produced non-Sedan ZHP there is. Black/Black/Vert/AT. Whoda thought? Good thing I've got my customizing (mods).

OP - thanks again for these numbers. Never thought I'd see them. This is awesome.

agreed, totally awesome!

yeah, it looks like black sapphire metallic, and silver, and imola, were the most popular colors by far. only 10 jet black on black leather 6-speeds... yowza!

now i'm not so interested in selling it for a sedan, LOL. :)
