Hi there. I'm an original owner of an 03 zhp. This post probably belongs in a different category but to save time, here's my question: Is the sport suspension the same as the performance suspension? Finally getting around to replacing shocks and have been told my car has a sport suspension. And will Bilstein Sport shocks (35-115069+76) work? Thanks for any advice. And that's KC in the backseat.12503

Welcome. There is a sport package and a performance package. They both come with what you could call sport suspensions, which essentially are the same if I recall correctly - someone chime in. Biltstein shocks do work, I'm guessing plug it into their website to make sure it's the right particular part #.

Hi. Yes, proper introduction. As I said, I'm the original, very happy owner of this silver sedan. It's been the best car I've ever owned. Never given me any trouble. Just been doing the regular service and tires, changed rack and pinion at about 90K (driven the car in San Francisco for over 10 years - terrible potholes and patches there) and now getting the badly needed struts replaced. Probably will find more when the car's up on the rack. It's got 107K right now.
And a disclaimer here. I'm not mechanically inclined so my terminology may be dorky at times. But it's okay since I'm female right? Glad I found this forum since I suspect more major maintenance may be coming up. But so worth it - no plans on ever trading in for something newer.

welcome, car looks great!
personally i'd go for the koni FSD shocks/struts, they are supposed to be fantastic. bilsteins tend to have too much compression damping and not enough rebound for my taste.

Thanks for the recommendations. Bilsteins are installed already. May try the Konis next time. I found this forum a little too late. Can't wait to see if there's a noticeable difference from the originals.

Welcome! What were the symptoms of the bad rack you had? I'm curious.

Awful sounds were coming from the wheels when going over bumps and driveways. Guess I have a control arm going out too. Noise is lessened now. The Bilsteins have improved the ride but I'm still not sure about the handling. Seems to have raised the car almost an inch - not to happy about that.
