Hello,
Just joined the community, though i'd introduce my new car. Been a BMW enthusiast all my life pretty much (mid 20's now). Growing up, i was always amazed by the designs of the cars, the history behind them and what the brand stands for.
My first car was a 1995 e38 740i, the flagship 7 series. Owned it for about 3 years. Amazing machine. Second car was a 2001 e46 330ci - sport pkg. The power and handling of the car was and is what makes the 3 series so special, especially the e46.

Been in the hunt for an "M-sport" (canadian ZHP) sedan for couple months. There is not many around in ontario. Finally found one 2 months ago, in Quebec and picked it up right away.
2003 330i M-sport - 6-Speed - 170,000 KM - Imola Red/Alcantara - 3rd owner - All maintenance records.
Current winter setup, winters on M68's - 225/40/17 all around.

Damn rust, it was not this bad, but being it one of the worst winters this year, it is really starting to peel. Also missing one rear seat headrest.

welcome fellow ontarion! whereabouts are you located?
what's your VIN? the M-Sport was actually a different model than the 'Canadian ZHP', which was called 'ZAM.' there are some M-Sports out there that look like a ZHP/ZAM but don't have the 3.07 rear diff, cams or software.

here's your options list - no S787A (ZHP/ZAM package), but it's definitely an M-Sport:

ah cool, thanks.
The S787A (ZHP/ZAM package) must be even more rare in CA then.

it is. there were some numbers found the other day that suggested something like 215 sedans, 231 coupes and ~300 verts. that's rare!

Great looking car fella.
I had rust too and it seems to be a common problem.
A new pair of wings is probably the sensible option. I repaired mine but considering the time and effort to do it right I wish I had bought a pair of genuine bmw wings. Pattern/aftermarket ones aren't a very good fit I've found.

Welcome! My car has been relatively safe from rust. It's eating through the inside of my driver-side doors, but that's about it. Congrats on the purchase.

my car must've been cleaned regularly in the winter, because mine (doors especially) is very clean - no rust that i could see during my PPI.

Yea rust sucks. Hopefully i won't have to replace the whole fender. Will look into some body shops and see if they can patch/smoothed/paint just that area.

I believe that a lot of the "ZHP" cars in Canada are actually M-Sports. The giveaways are the double-walled exhaust tip, and the alcantara or perforated leather steering wheel - the M-Sport has the same steering wheel but in smooth leather. Canadian ZHPs supposedly have the standard 330 redline indicated on the tach, although the actual internal redline is the same as ZHP in the US.
My car is an M-Sport. I drove it back to back with several "Sport Package" ("ZSP") 330Ci convertibles, and found a very noticeable difference in the handling. The M-Sport/ZHP suspension ("S338A") is much tighter and more responsive. If you can find one, I feel it's worth a premium over a ZSP car.

Welcome to the forum... As luck would have it, I have your rear headrest. In fact, I have all 3 of them... They are a bit faded in back, but if you would like, shoot me a PM.

Welcome! Nice 7 series. That was a great design. Just enough sport with the lux to remind you of what you were driving.

The e38 design in my opinion, is one of the best bmw has ever made. It has that classic, timeless sporty elegance.

Nice car, BTW! Forgot to say that in my earlier post. The manual transmission ones seem quite hard to find in Canada, so you got lucky! I really like the look of the M68 wheels too, my favorite among the 17"ers.

Yea, m-sport in Canada is rare and manuals on top of that.
M68's are classic, they are currently on winters. Been looking for some OEM rims for summer.
