View Full Version : Adding Clear Corners - Anyone purchase from Khoalty?

Hey Guys,

I've decided to change to clear corners, and was hoping for some info on where to buy...

Khoalty seems to have a lot to choose from: Depo clear tails for $140, clear side markers for $40, and front corners for about $45. However, these prices seem to good to be true, since Turner sells a similar clear lens package for over $400.

Has anyone purchased any clear lenses from Khoalty (tails, sides, or front corners), and if so, what is your experience? I really want to avoid a "cheapo aftermarket" look if possible.

Thanks as always for any info on this!

KHOALTY sells DEPO brand clears. Turner sells OEM.

I strongly recommend going OEM.

Whatever you do, please take before and after pics.

I always thought silver gray looked great with amber (I still do).

Couple things... I personally just had a horrible experience with Khoalty, but it was service related not product failure. So I would refer you to Umnitza for lenses/lighting. Same products and prices, but way better service, in my opinion.

Going forward, I have ordered complete sets of "cheapo" Depo lenses from Umnitza for both of my E46's and have been 100% satisfied both times. In fact, I just did the full treatment (tails, sides & corners) to my '01 330i this past weekend, great success. The tails in my sig pic on my ZHP are Depo's from Umnitza. I've never had any fittiment issues to the car or BOW issues with the aftermarket lenses, LED's or halogen bulbs. Personally I think there is no reason to shell out $400 for OEM tails when you can get the entire package plus bulbs and xenon fogs for almost the same price. But again, that is only my opinion.

I've had Depo's for 3 years. No problems here.

With that said, the Euro kit from TMS is beautiful, if your willing to shell out the money for some plastic.

A few issues I had with DEPO was:

One sidemarker wouldn't hold flush. It would fall out occasionally.

Inner trunk lights were a darker shade of red than outer trunk lights.

As far as I know, both issues have been rectified. Besides that, they are a great option for clears.

Imo it's OEM or bust.

I had that problem with one of my side markers and I still can't quite get it to sit flush. The other one had a messed up clip that I had to fix with a pair of pliers to make it work.

Thank you everyone for the great info. It's reassuring to hear people's success w/ Depo lenses, and I'll probably go that route. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I don't have any fitment issues.

I'll be sure to post before & after pics once I do this. Thanks again!
