Has anyone in the US sourced parts from the UK? there are sellers for ZHP wheels, alcantara interiors etc. If so, any do's and dont's, good sellers, etc. Any advice is much appreciated.

I have, but only for things I can't get here. No real advice to offer other than looking a sellers history, reviews, etc. Anything in particular you're looking for?

I looking to replace my driver's seat Alcantara, locally I can have it re-upholstered for about $500 but Quarry Motors has a number of Alcantara interiors-seems Alcanatara was common option in the UK. Part of my thinking is that those right side drivers equal left hand seats in good condition.

I bought my LCM from an ebay seller. The first on I tried to buy wouldn't ship to the US so I'd recommend emailing with the seller first. The seller I used was Zed at "ace_motor_part_n_tyres".

They have an entire interior for 80 pounds or $132US. I don't want to ship a whole interior but I would pay to have the coverings stripped off the seats and then shipped.

You really are better off getting it reupholstered locally. $500 is actually extremely cheap, so that is definitely your best best.
Taking the seat covers off is no joke; it's a lot of work. If you were to pay the seller for their time to do this and to ship just the seat cover, you'd be looking at probably almost the cost of just getting it reupholstered. You would most likely not find a seller that's willing to do this, because then they have to get rid of a seat that doesn't have a cover. Nobody's going to buy that, so they'd have to find a way to dispose of it, which is time, effort, and potentially money. If I was a seller I probably wouldn't do it either.

Then, to have to ship it to the U.S.? That's a whole 'nother story.
I practically had to beg and plead with a couple of sellers to ship me the clear lights I have now, as well as the LCM that I bought. When they finally agreed, the price was astronomical; more than the cost of the item itself to ship.

Where are you planning to get it done locally? I would like to do my driver seat too.

Cmon, that's still local. It if is within 100miles from SF, I think I am game as long as the quality is there.

Find the best upholstery shop and get them recovered, here is your source for genuine Alcantara

I believe stock shade is 9002

Edit: the only interior I would spend the money on shipping from the UK would be this extremely rare M-Alcantara

Cloth on a ZCP. I've seen it like on 3 cars.

Down here, yes. Are you gonna drive 8 hours to get your seats redone?

Just one seat. Not sure. We can discuss offline since I'm thread jacking now.
