Ok, i think we all agree non-ethanol gas is better than when its added. Now normally I run Shell 93 RON which here in FL contains ethanol (probably ~10%) and I pay ~ $3.80/gal.
So I come across this today. Sunoco pure blend premium gas (no ethanol), but only 90 RON. Additionally, it is $4.50/gal.
So, is pure gas, at a lower octane, worth 70¢ a gallon?

For me, yes. If you're not keeping your car long term, no.

IMO, not worth it to me.

FWIW, I get better mileage from 93 E15 tanks than 91 E0 V-power tanks. I think our DME's adapt to fuel mixture over time.

^They do, so your numbers make sense.
For me, it would be worth the reduced mpg to avoid the problems I'll potentially have down the road from running E10

I'll probably run a couple of tanks back to back to see how performance and mpg are affected. It will add about $10 per tack to total cost.
Honestly I have not been impressed with the performance of the car on the 93 RON here in FL. What ever the make-up of the gas here seems to take the edge off the engine. I run injector cleaner every so often and change the fuel filter every 25k miles (always makes a noticeable difference).
I am moving to WA in a few months, so we'll see how the blend works out there.
I only run gas with no ethanol. For me though it is not much over a regular tank of gas. IIRC it is only about 8 cents over regular gas per gallon.
I did see an mpg increase using no ethanol.

How much cleaning additive is in your gas brand? http://www.e46fanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1024135
