She looks good from afar, but she's far from a good.

I don't understand how the storage doors behind the shifter get so messed up - do people rest stuff against there, or their brass-knuckle covered fingers are slipping off the shifter? Both E46 cars I've owned - those compartment doors are mint/brand new condition. I'm the 3rd owner of my ZHP so whoever owned it prior had no problem not scuffing/knicking them all up.

Still a nice car - most of the cosmetic blemishes could be easily replaced.

Mine are all scratched up (was like that when I got it). I don't understand it either.

My storage door also has scratches on it. However not to the extent as seen in the pictures here.

They scratch relatively easily. I think that is mostly from finger nails and putting things there while you are driving such as wallets, phones, etc. Not a red flag in my book.

Right. I don't think it's a red flag. It's just an eye sore... I hope to be able to replace mine soon.
