Hi y'all,

So I've noticed that there's a slight, rhythmic thunk/thump that I can feel through the steering wheel. It happens when the car is at idle and only when the HVAC is on. It does it with both the a/c engaged and disengaged. I popped the hood and you can feel the thunk in the fender, too. It's veerrrry slight and happens every 2-3 seconds. Super strange.

Anybody else have this?
Pete

I have this as well. It's a very very slight "thunk". It seems like there is something dripping, but my car is dry. I'm in for answers as well...

Sorry that I'm no help.

Hahaha I'm just glad someone else knows what I'm talking about.

Earlier today it was audible. More of a tap then a thunk. It is not relative to engine speed. Really the weirdest thing. Engine bay was dry! Carpets are dry!

I did some Googling. Turns out it could be the heater control valve: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=615757

Ahh... hmm... Well, I am soon to refresh my cooling system, so we'll see about this as well.
