I've been a longtime member of bimmerforums, e46fanatics, m3forum, and e90post. I've owned one E46 prior to the ZHP. It was a 2000 328Ci AW/Tan. It was a CPO car and I had it about a year. Sold it. Got an E36 Arctic Silver/Dove M3/4 and didn't keep it stock.

I loved the M3. It was a raw and so easy to throw around. It also had some more torque and a LSD which I miss dearly. I then added a E90 335 to the equation. A few months later I sold the M3. At 174,000, I just didn't want to keep it for the long haul because the E36 interior is junk.

The 335 was a totally different beast. What I consider my first "fast" car. I run a Cobb tune on it currently. Other than that, it's stock. I do have some OEM E92 328 ZSP wheels powder coated black that will go on this spring along with a HR Cup kit, shadowline trim (the chrome is awful), and black grills. I'm pretty excited.

The second car has always been my girlfriend's 2004 CRV. It's been practical and a beater. We maintain it but at 123,000 we are over it. It was ideal mainly because we have a 13 month old Irish Setter. So we sold the CRV and bought this ZHP.

Now to the important part, the ZHP. It's a 10 footer. This car was dealer serviced and was well maintained all the way to 138,000. I have a long list of maintenance from The BMW Store in Cincy. However, the exterior has seen better days. Regardless, it's what we wanted. Auto Jet Black/Alcantara ZHP. It's for my girlfriend to daily, her first BMW, and the dog car. That doesn't mean we aren't getting this thing to run perfectly.

I immediately took it to Reggie's Motorworks and had a good chunk of the following replaced. I DIY'd about 1/3:

License Plate Frame
Plate Lights/Trunk handle
Lock/Emergency Light Button
Rear Shocks
FCABs
Tie Rods
Sway Bar links
CCV
Upper/lower intake boots
DISA
Passenger headlight assembly (ZKW) :P
Cobe tri-stitch wheel
OEM Alpine headunit
Front Rotors/Pads
Rear Pads
Tinted Windows
DICE Silverline

I've still got A Pillars and a C Pillar to replace. I also need to source a new trunk as there is a quarter size dent. The rear bumper also has two nice punctures in it. There are too many exterior imperfections to list. Overall, I'm happy. I missed driving a NA BMW. The M54 is perfect. The handling - that's another story. I find it so much better than the E90, though mine isn't worth comparing to. Anyway, I'm going to continue reading and benefiting from everyone's information on here. Awesome community!

I'm not too familiar with PDR as I've never needed it. The dent is right on tip of the tail of the trunk lid.

It's worth having it looked at. A good PDR tech can do wonders. But it's all about access and leverage. Probably not more than $150.

Good to know. Thanks for the heads up.

Welcome! If your car is a 10 footer, mine is at least a 30 footer. One of reasons I hate washing it; it ends up looking worse.

Glad to have you!

This makes me feel better. The PO's brother worked at The BMW Store in Cincy. Unfortunately, he wasn't as cautious or caring for the exterior as I am. I'd say there are about a dozen areas with shoddy touchup, a few more dings, curbed wheels, etc. The interior is probably 7/10 - bolster wear on the driver seat is the main wear. I'll address as much as I can.

The 330 was my second choice when shopping 3 years ago. I just couldn't pass up an unmolested CPO'd N54. I really enjoy mine. Just had to replace the battery and OFHG. Next up, walnut blasting and cooling system.

Ah Carmel Indiana. Spent some time at the Five Seasons out there when I worked for them a while back. Always a good time in Noblesville for DMB and Jack Johnson concerts.

Welcome to the mafia, I'm sure you guys are a lot warmer down there than up here in Chicago. ;)
