This is only an upgrade for a very few manual E46's. This is the stock zhp manual diff, and most E46's have a shorter ratio that 3.07

Look at the 2nd to last column to see what your car has

May want to note it won't bolt to a ZHP without swapping input and output flanges.

Why not? It's a ZHP diff. It'll bolt right up to a manual ZHP because that's where it came from...

Because it might have come from a 323 also

Yeah, but the ad says "from ZHP"...

Yeah, but the ad says "from ZHP"...

He also says it's an upgrade to cars that already have shorter diffs, the guy selling it might not know what he's talking about

Yep, and I can tell you that the input flange will NOT bolt to any 330 driveshaft. The 330's (and ZHP's) have a constant velocity input flange. What you see in the picture is not. Also, the output flanges are from a 325/323 automatic. You can tell by the bolt pattern and size.

What happened was, this diff came from a manual ZHP, but the owner swapped flanges to make the other diff fit his ZHP. He then put the 325/323 diff flanges on this ZHP flange.

It will NOT bolt up to a ZHP. It will fit in the subframe, but the flanges won't bolt up, period.

I just replaced my diff two days ago and had to special order a flange from BMW. I know of whence I speak.

Okay. I was assuming seller knew what he was talking.

If this diff is from a ZHP and is in it's stock form, it will bolt up to another manual ZHP. Am I wrong?

Again, that diff is not in stock form. If it was, yes, it would bolt up, but it isn't, not even close.

Ok, cool. It was a bit confusing.
