Phoenix

Hi, I'm Phoenix. I'm the proud owner of a 2003 ZHP sedan, immola red, 6 spd m/t, silver cube trim, and originally aranthricite, but now black leather interior. I do about 90% of my own work. I have tools, the software, and access to a lift, so I'm willing to do just about anything that can be finished in a weekend.
I am a fanatic about keeping my car in original condition. I recently rebuilt the vanos, replaced every gasket on the outside of the engine block (oil filter housing bracket, head cover, vanos), new spark plugs, new O2 sensors, new filters, new brakes.
This is my second BMW that I have personally owned, but probably the 5th in my family, so I am used to their needs.
I plan on replacing the intake next since it's whistling a little at high torque settings. Also on the schedule is new transmission fluid.
On this car, I have had to replace the rear differential after it failed catastrophically. Ask me about that process, as it was a major hassle finding the right part combination. Hint- a flange swap is almost mandatory.
This is my daily driver, but also my baby. I'm currently in Jacksonville FL, but I move every 3 years or so for work. Out west near Seattle is probably next.
