So I have rock chips and a few light scratches. Plus some little dents from car doors and one on the roof.
Bought a touch-up pen from touchupdirect.com that comes with a clear coat pen as well. Any tips for application?

For the dents I snagged a little 3-inch dia. suction popper. Was going to give it a shot and might even try the old hairdryer and air/butane can technique. Again any tips?

Thanks fellas...

EDIT: SWIRLS!! EVERYWHERE!! Pretty light but I notice It bothers me. Polish them out? with?

SOrry, can't advise on technique, but for the dent's I'd call a PDR (paintless dent removal) pro. They can do wonders. I've also heard good things about Dr. ColorChip here and from the detailer I used a few weeks back.

I bought Dr. Color Chip in December and will be using it on my hood any day now... in the past I used the factory touch-up paint an my experience is the color match was perfect but getting the paint in the chip to be the same height as the surrounding area was really hard. Hopefully Dr. Color Chip will solve that.

Currently in process of polishing out swirl marks with a Griot's Garage 6" random orbital. Taking more polishing passes than I initially expected but the swirl marks are coming out. (Maybe I'm not using an aggressive enough foam pad, or not aggressive enough compound.)

Plan to call a PDR person in a few months. Have 1 big dent, 1 medium dent, and 2 or 3 really small door dings.

For dents, PDR person is safest. (Unless you just really want to DIY). For touch-up, Dr. Colorchip works well but when Dane went to have his car painted, the tech said there was an issue with some of the paint surface and when he found out Dr. C-chip was on, he pointed to that as a reason. So, use those those type of touch-up products with eyes open. As far as swirls, we have a detailing section with some great knowledge there... I can't help much in that end.

Polish them out with M102/M205, and an Orbital.
