I’m getting ready to move on to an E39 M5 and as such my ZHP is up for sale. Located in Chandler, AZ, southeast of Phoenix.

http://m.carmax.com/vehicle/history/index/WBABD53475PD99819

The particulars:
’05 ZHP coupe, TiAG over black leather. 6MT. Premium package, factory alarm, bi-xenons. 67k miles.
Late production - 7/30/05. As such, has perforated leather wheel. 3rd owner. Initially sold in Florida, CPO’d to second owner in Miami, an American Airlines captain who babied it. I purchased from him in April ’12 at 52k miles and brought it back to Arizona. Tires were soon replaced with Michelin Pilot Super Sports, currently have about 14k miles on them and have about 50% tread wear left. As preventative maintenance, the VANOS unit was replaced with a rebuilt unit from Doctor Vanos, and the DISA valve replaced with a “DISA Gold” valve from GAS. The tired ZHP shift knob was replaced with a fresh one. A new AGM battery was installed in September ’12.

More goodness:
Car is super-clean and straight. Front bumper has never had a plate and is undrilled. Inspection II was done shortly after purchase, and a lot of other work was done as well - new OEM Sachs shocks, new rear brakes (Zimmerman rotors/Akebono clean ceramic pads), new FCABs & RTABs, all-new belts. Since then the front brakes have been done as well, and AC has been serviced. Added USA*Spec iPod interface. Cocomats. Head unit was replaced due to bad volume/on-off switch (very common). All 4 A- and C-pillar trim pieces were replaced due to the all-too-common sagging issue. Replaced mirror with unit from convertible, includes Homelink built-in. Bubble repaired by radar-mirror.com. Oil just changed last weekend (Mobil 1 0W-40). Car needs absolutely nothing at this point.

The bad:
Not much. Car was rear-ended shortly after I bought it (very low speed - car behind me took off before light turned green and bonked me), had trunk lid, bumper cover, and both taillights replaced with new OEM parts. Only paintwork was to the trunk & bumper cover, so there are no color blending/mismatch issues with the quarter panels. Immaculate work by local 2-man shop. No prior body or paint work, and Carfax is clean. Has darker tint job that is necessary in Florida & Arizona, but might be darker than many would prefer, but could always be removed or redone. I have the original books & remote keys, most early records, all of my records (of course), and the original window sticker.

If you’re looking for a super-clean, adult-owned, well-sorted, low mileage, needs-nothing car, this is it. There is a metric crapload of additional pictures of the car linked in my signature. Happy shopping!

Bumpage. Yes, the price is stout, but the car lives up to it.

Dangit, Dangit, Dangit - A 90 yr. old Snowbird blasted through a red light and totalled my vehicle and messed me up pretty good on Oct. 30, 2013. I'm within a couple of months of getting an amazing settlement. My point is that this will sell before I can buy it and that makes me sad. It really seems as if this vehicle has been extremely well cared for. It's beautiful and I want it. You see, I was considering building another 3rd gen RX-7 but I did that several years ago and I don't want to be redundant. Also, since aftermarket development continues for that vehicle despite the low production numbers I could easily spend 100K on one since I know nearly every nut and bolt. In this case my ADD/HD/OCD has the potential to break the bank so to speak. This '05 ZHP would satisfy me, as-is, for a while giving me time to carefully research potential upgrades. What would you think is the upper limit of streatable horsepower of this engine? Forced induction and n/a. If I can get my atty. to release enough funds before we close the case I'll re-contact you and schedule a test drive since we don't live too far apart - I'm in E. Mesa not far from Superstition Springs Mall.

One more thing: who does the best performance work on Bimmers here in the Valley?

We'll have to hook up so that you can have a look-see and a test cruise. I spend a lot of time in West Mesa.

My mechanic is Bo @ Bo's Motor Works in Tempe. 2-man shop, knows his shiite, fair pricing, great guy.

Great looking car. Can't believe this is still available.

I'm sure it's the stout asking price. But it's like getting an EAG car for thousands less. I have over $6k into it in the last 2 years/17k miles. Someone will be very happy with their purchase.
