Hello from Nebraska!

Hello everyone! My name is Garry Murphy and I just literally acquired my dream car! A beautiful and special 2005 Mercedes C230!:cheers :facepalm Just kidding. I finally got my actual dream car,a non special Silver Grey 330i ZHP! It has 120,000 well documented miles and hopefully 200,000 more to go. By then we will probably be riding around on hovercrafts. It is a manual sedan with alcantara/cloth interior and has the cold weather package. It was a Colorado car but now is with me back home in NE. I plan on doing a cooling system refresh here very soon and some other good stuff soon. I am already looking into the euro-tray for my car since I do not have much use for cup holders and a few other things like maybe a Colby re-wrap, ZHP knob, and clutch pedal since it is a little worn on the side. I look forward to conversing with all of you and becoming part of the mafia family. Also are there any members in Nebraska?I have seen a Titanium Grey ZHP coupe and Imola Red sedan near me and am wondering if either you are on here! I am very excited to explore my car and make it even better(if that is possible) through everyone's suggestions and help! Oh and pictures will be coming soon but please excuse me in advance.. it is -4 right now and my car is sort of dirty.

Yes, it was quite large. Lots of KENO bars...As someone who works behind a bar, I hate Keno! LOL

As far as your leak, inspect your pump grommet. I suspect it is failing and allowing the fluid to leak out.

Ok will do first thing tomorrow. It is way to cold to do anything now:). I first thought for the worst but looked under the hood and saw the tank half full and stuck a cup underneath where it was leaking and it was the washer fluid.

Its quiet funny.. your ZHP is the first Zhp I've seen in person. The night before you picked it up I called Schomp to see if I could test drive it..they said that it was sold..and was going to be picked up in the morning by some guy driving from Nebraska haha I begged them to let me at least come and look at the car so I could see a ZHP in person. The sales guy you worked with was real nice..he drove it into the covered showroom..and let me and my dad look at it. Then he started it up and drove it back to the lot..oh man the growl it made when he started it up...:drool

After seeing your ZHP I'm hooked and am looking fiercely for my own!

Welcome! My dad and most of my family live in Plattsmouth, just drove my ZHP up there this past summer from my home in Bham, AL. One of the reasons my silver grey sedan has 205k miles on it! Long live your dream car!

And since I have a relevant thread to tell this joke, here goes:

What does the "N" on the Nebraska helmet stand for? Knowledge. Lol!

My old neighbor in Colorado worked for Mercedes and always brought the newest cars home. I remember he brought a w220 s65 amg home once. He let me sit in it for about half an hour lol. I had to wipe the drool off the seat! Was your Merc an auto? What color?

Very nice! Cannot go wrong with a black MB. The drivers gearbox adds to the awesomeness also! I have only ever driven a Mercedes A-Class. In fact that was the first car I ever drove. It was in England and Mercedes World!

I might be searching for a little while as I'm pretty specific on what I'm looking for... jet black or metallic sapphire black, 6MT, under 100k for coupe or under 75k for sedan (Prefer a coupe), preferably alcantara interior. Worst part is because of financing reasons it has to be at a dealership. I've been looking everyday nationwide...just waiting for the right one to come up, I've been seeing quiet a few automatic black ZHP's coming up.. but, I feel like having a ZHP with an auto is like drinking decaf coffee lol

I feel like it'll be worth the wait though.

I did not know that either! I'm glad some automakers are keeping the 3 pedal manual transmission. If it ever goes away I think it will come back eventually due to enthusiast demand. But maybe not.

Another buddy owns a ZHP coupe but I haven't seen it yet. It could be the grey one you mentioned. Join the BMW CCA. It will save you on BMW parts at BMW of Lincoln. Trust me you can't get mail ordered parts for what BMW of Lincoln sell to us. If you need service go see Ben at European Auto Tech.

BTW, the club is having our annual planning meeting this Sat at BMWoL, 10AM. Come out and join us if you can.
